Yea, I've been driving on 2.5/32's hoping that these would come out before I could wait no longer.
My OEM tyres are shot after 15K. If these last 15K I will view it as a huge win.
And they have a 30K mile warranty. So if these are toast in 15K as you predict the next set should be half off.
Starlink has much less capacity to serve a bunch of people packed into a small area than LTE or Wi-Fi does. If the LTE and Wi-Fi can't keep up then starlink won't either.
Unless you are the only one with this idea...
So I suggest you delete this post if you plan to go through with it. It...
Does someone else have a patent on non-removable windows that don't leak air, make a ton of noise, and break easily?
Assuming that all of the problems with the current, much simpler, windows is not due to Rivian avoiding someone else's patent on windows that don't suck, I am not sure I am...
Too bad it doesn't look like the Ford has a tow hitch. It would be nice to have the option of swapping places when you don't feel like charging anymore. a plug in hybrid.
I guess you could still be a hybrid if you plug an inverter into the Ford's 12v outlet and run an extension cord up to the...
I doubt anyone here has a spare side view mirror. Your best bet is to submit a service request in the Rivian app.
If you don't want Rivian to install the parts you can include in your note service request that you just want to buy the parts. Rivian will sell them to you.
Sortof, I predict that everything but the most expensive trim will be discontinued before ever being produced.
Rivian will say it was because nearly everyone wanted the top trim, but really it will be because they were loosing money even on the most profitable (or rather least unprofitable)...
I would be even more interested to see how people are doing it when the 3rd row is occupied.
7 people need more stuff and have less space to put it.
You don't really need to maximize space efficiency when you have half as much stuff and 2x as much space.
Actually I think the list is more like this
June 30, 2026: 3 Rivian c-suite executives (on the last day that would qualify as meeting the advertised "first half of 2026" deadline)
July-August: there will be 0 deliveries.
September 2026 - December 2026 : Celebrities/Social Media influencers...
Where’s this water coming from?
Mystery solved. Most rain is made of water.
The water almost certainly came from the sky. You can solve the problem by moving a few thousand miles in the south-westerly direction. The sky down there doesn't have any water in it.
The downside to driving in sport mode all the time is that you get used to it and the vehicle feels really slow and ungrounded when you have to switch to something else.
99% sport mode here. I do go through tires unreasonablely quickly, but the wear is perfectly even side to side so it has...
Do you use an Apple or Android phone?
When Rivian first added the apple music feature it took me forever to get it working and it turned out that it was because I don't have an iPhone and Apple considers anyone without an iPhone to not be a real customer.
According to Apple's tech support, my...
I would interpret the part I bolded as saying anything that doesn't cause a "breakdown" is not going to be covered. A faulty tailgate latch is definitely not within my definition of breakdown and I would expect the insurance company to be right on the edge of unreasonably strict. The suspension...
Instead of losing the third row, I would have voted to put the extra batteries in the compact-spare tire cavity. I would use the extra 50kw way more often than a spare.
No, no one has tried. Because Gen 1 vehicles do not let you pair additional key fobs. We have the "add a fob" button in the app, but if you click it, you just get an error message saying you need to buy a newer car if you want to use that button.
Only Rivian techs can add a key to a Gen 1...
There is no reason you can't put "front" tires on the rear.
And I doubt Gen 1 owners will see much improvement from wider rear tires unless Rivian allows us to input the staggered setup into the config and also uses that info to adjust the power delivery algorithms.
My prediction is that the batteries are going hold up better than any other component.
The question isn't can I put a new battery in the rivian, it is can I put a new rivian on my old battery?
Based on the discrepancy between Rivian's battery warranty and the warranty on everything else, it...
The difference is that CCS adapters for NACS vehicles are paperweights that just collect dust while NACS adapters for CCS vehicles are prized possessions that get used on 95% of your DC charging sessions.
People who love using adapters or hate having parts that never get used will get far more...
