Guess what? The two nearest Porsche dealers to me are owned by Penske automotive and they suck ass. I've taken my car to them twice and left extremely disappointed both times. So yeah, every manufacturer, except maybe the super exotic ones, have issues with inconsistent owner experience...
Not only that, but people are forgetting that before OTA updates, the car had the features on the day you bought it and nothing more. Hardware updates happen and older models will get left behind.
If the hardware changes happen too frequently though, it's going to tank resale value and really...
From what I've read, this fake leather junk is not as stretchable and pliable as real leather. So it's harder to upholster with it. I dunno, I think it's a poor choice of materials if that is the case. I don't think other manufacturers have this issue.
If Rivian made it cheaper then people wouldn't buy it at delivery. It has to cost the same as the delivery price. People might decide they want it months or even years later, this just provides that option. The real question is why wouldn't they do this? It's a win-win...people who want it get...
Have you looked into having it replaced by someone other than Rivian? Also if the crack is small enough, you can get it filled / repaired before it grows to something bigger. Sorry it happened though. I would be frustrated too, especially considering the cost and time commitment dealing with the SC.
Low ride height in soft isn't bad at all. We actually use low ride height in AP on a daily basis. Is there a big difference between the power available in Sport and AP for dual motors?
Yeah my first thought was that this is a bad connector that is having issues when it gets cold, and it's just worked its way loose over this winter. Could also be something was disconnected when I had my front suspension serviced in December, and not put back properly. I really doubt it's dirty...
We had sensors covered in salt before. It gave us false alarms on the proximity sensor but it didn't say it wasn't working. When the camera is blocked due to dirt, you get a different warning that the camera is blocked. I'll double check later, but the vehicle isn't very dirty right now. There...
Yeah it's been cold here too, but no snow for a few weeks now. Going to warm up next week, lets see if it goes away. I have to wait until end of April before Rivian will look at it, maybe I can convince them to find me an earlier slot.
This started popping up today, it seems to come and go and also occasionally a similar warning pops up for the front camera. Seems like a loose connection somewhere? Is this something I can try to fix myself? I filed a service request but as always, the earliest mobile appointment is over 8...
If this is true, it makes me lose a bit of confidence about RJ. Just don't see it happening. I just hope it doesn't get to Musk levels of overpromising...
