For what it is worth…….
I bought my 2025 R1S used for $20k under sticker price. It was the exact configuration I would have ordered, other than color. Although the color (Limestone) works just fine. It had 3,800 miles, for all practical purpose, brand new. It was 3.5 months old. It now has...
Well put, thank you for sharing. Maximizing profit is the backbone of capitalism. When prices go up, for what ever reason, everyone who can will take advantage. We saw it when prices started to increase back in 2020 due to the pandemic. We saw prices increase on products that were shielded...
Yes, the $15k was just a WAG/example. But, it’s good to know it should be considerably less. It would be unfortunate if the tariffs had an impact on Rivian sales. Buy by the sounds of it, should it result in a price increase, it will be negligible.
Curious if any Forum members have heard from Rivian Corporate how the new tariffs (assuming it doesn’t get recalled or postponed like several of the others) might have on Rivian. I know they are US built but I would think many of the parts, especially the electronics, are foreign supplied.

Your DYI solution looks pretty slick to me. Not only secure but you created some secure storage bins between the tire slots. Just curious what is your reason for wanting something different?
There are some nice hitch racks. You might want to check out what 1Up Racks has to offer...
I was thinking the same thing. With that type of mentor, chances are the child will adopt the same disposition.
But there is a chance the child will recognize the absence of maturity in the that parental unit and choose an alternate path. 🤞
Correction: Routed me only to the J1772 approved. The Tesla App will tell you a NACS adapter is required And whether that station supports Rivian, GMC, Porsche, etc. Sorry for the confusion.
On a recent long trip I took, I found the Rivian App routed me only to NACS approved Tesla chargers. The Tesla App will also tell you if it is approved for your vehicle assuming you have your Rivian listed in your profile. I had one CS where the Tesla App didn’t work correctly and it was...
Extreme loss fore sure. Sorry that happened. Ask Rivian during your service visit to charge your battery. They likely will when you explain your circumstance.
For reference, my 2025 R1S parked in my garage for 10 days lost 7%. Starting SOC was 70%. Garage temperature 45 to 50°. Not sure this...
From what I understand about ICE vehicles, exhaust emissions are highest.at low speeds and cooler engine temps which equates to city driving. And, as another member pointed out, MPG is poor. With EV’s, emissions are not relevant and efficiency usually best in city driving. IMO, this application...
Couldn’t tell you as I am still waiting on the update. I guess someone has to be last. This is why I never buy lottery tickets ?. I must say, I’ve enjoyed reading everyone else’s experience with the latest version ?
Observations….. not complaints.
It was not a selling point for me either. As a matter of fact, I wasn’t even aware it existed when I made the purchase. Enclosed cargo capacity and zero emissions were all I cared about. However, after just recently logging > 2k miles on I-5, RAP is a “feature”...
Well I hope they don’t start charging for the Standard RAP feature. I used it extensively on my recent trip. Personally, I don’t mind having my hands just resting on the wheel.
Three things I did notice about RAP. I apologize if these have been discussed in precious threads:
1) There were...
For those wondering if 2025.06 was available now for update (like moi), I just chatted with Rivian service and they said no. 2025.51.31 is still the most current. They would not provide a specific date when 2025.06 would be pushed. Perhaps in the next week or two ?‍♂️
