Iām genuinely curious as to why you refuse to support Tesla because of its CEO.
Did you buy the vehicle because of the CEO or did you buy it because you felt compelled to save the planet in one form or another? Or any other reason?
I canāt say Iāve ever purchased a product because of who runs...
Politics aside, none of you would have a Rivian or any other EV if it wasnāt for musk and Tesla.
Love or hate him, musk and his vision single handily changed the landscape of EVs. Before Tesla (roadster 2011) there was the EV1 by GM (1996) which was killed off by the oil industry. Since the...
Iād rather see him in the back of a police car on the way to prison.
This state has a fleet of vehicles for the Government to use already, glad to see my tax dollars spent on nonsense and political propaganda.
Im on week 2 of Rivian service having my now 900 mile R1S and Iām told it wonāt be done until end of May.
So thatās 3 payments on my lease and less than 30 days on the road.
At this point, Iām considering my options.
Great theyāre building more 50 service centers. Thatās one per state on...
Hereās my first of more updates around addressing all the issues with my brand new R1S
First - steering wheel off center, pulls to the left under regen, alignment didnāt feel correct as the vehicle would dart left or right at random.
Service center just sent me this:
I suspect there will be a market in the future for replacement battery packs IF and WHEN battery technology makes a huge leap forward.
When the same size pack holds 5x more energy, and all the new cars get the new tech, someone will figure out how to profit from it on older EVs.
Otherwise, as...
Upgrade to 80A feed in case you have a desire for bidirectional charging.
My guys dropped 6-4 over about 25 feet to future proof our EV plans. Only cost me a few bucks more.
I had the same issue after updating.
I double triple checked proximity locking was turned off at home.
Either the Rivian app lost GPS connection or the update did. Either way it finally stopped after I locked and unlocked the vehicle from the app.
FWIW, my app was not on 3.0 at the time.
I would not buy the R1S again, but for different reasons.
The roof does a great job keeping the heat out, the front windshield, not so much, but thatās all vehicles for the most part.
ETA - the dynamic roof is only in the front. If you keep your dogs in the back, I strongly suggest you have...
maybe not
However, if I hire a sql developer, I can train them on the nuances between Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL.
Mechanics are not single vendor trained. If you can work on a Ford, you can work on VW. Same would be true for EV brands with minimal training.
Talk about not staying on-topicā¦Thatās rich coming from a K-pop Rivian fan girl who sees nothing wrong with anything this company does. Look at me, look at meeee, I have more posts than you do, Iām more important here than you areā¦
You must wear really really big shoes, because youāre a clown.
Am I tho?
While AI might be able to do all those things, does Rivian have the software development team to help code all those items? What will they use, agentic AI? Do they have a LLM already to support the agentic agents?
What Iām saying is the company need to prioritize customer...
Amazingā¦
because my 2017 truck unlocks every time I press the unlock button and it has zero AI.
Oh, and my local truck dealer has me in the service center in a matter of days and I get to talk to a human being.
How will we ever survive without AI.
If you need AI to figure out if the Rivian app is close enough to the vehicle to unlock it, youāre doing it wrong.
Self Driving getting better, yes.
But whatās the point of your vehicle isnāt built well enough to actually drive. Or spends more time in service than on the road, if you can get...
Who cares.
How about you hire someone who can actually build a quality vehicle, or write good code for your software, or staff a service center properly.
No one cares if Rivian has AI. Get your product and priorities straight.
