Cross post here if you want to see a longer point of reference on USAA. Quick version;
My USAA rate previous to R1T was $1200/yr
replaced a car, added a R1T - $1800/yr
recently told them about 16yr son getting a license and they are asking $7000/yr!
Clean record, great credit, kid is...
Good to know, thanks! Have a fresh 16yr old driver and what USAA quoted almost gave me a heart attack.
USAA user for 20+ yrs. Clean record and great credit. I was paying ~$1200/yr for my BMW and Alfa. That went to ~$1800 when I got my R1T.
All I did was check on changing my son's drivers...
sorry, I use a roll up tonneau cover - which does close cleanly on top of the pad.
My only gripe with the rollup is the rails for it block the spare tire hatch from fully opening.
Not orange peel on mine but blotchiness for sure. I had a silver loaner from them that had the same issue. I didn't realize it was a common issue, I might've chosen another color.
The photos will make it look "not that bad" > it's more apparent in person and full sun. Rivian offered to repaint...
I have a soft spot for this location. It was the space I discovered Rivian and demo‘d a QM launching from light to light on 9A. So much fun! I ordered my R1T a week later.
Whoa. I think you confused us with the Cybertruck forum.
OP had my empathy until he started negating everyone else's experiences and only his mattered. It's clear he has a lemon and should follow the process. For that, he still has my sympathy.
Rivian Roulette I guess.
For counterpoint, I feel very fortunate. I just had a door replaced and it only took 2 1/2 weeks. Body shop had all the parts ready to go. SC even asked me to come in two weeks early on my appointment date.
Sorry this is your experience - you were a good resource...
for sure. When OP mentioned the "rumor" of removing the gear tunnel mat for saving costs, I'd think Rivian could save a lot more getting rid of the motorized vents! They had wow factor in the beginning but totally unnecessary.
This is an interesting one. I had the issue of water collecting in there (wet sides, standing water and moldy sludge at the bottom). SC said "normal operation" and nothing fixed. I noticed a drain plug under the tire, pulled it and now leave it out. Compartment stays dry ever since (obviously...
My little experiment; '24 R1T DM, Large, Adventure, 13k miles. (used the 2nd level down 'Pretty Great' setting for condition vs 'New')
Offer 2 weeks ago (3/15) was $56,800. I just refreshed the offer (4/1) and $54,400. I also revised it to add Performance (curious how much of the unlock...
Car wash anxiety is real!
I resorted to using the DIY bays because my one time on the track getting to neutral was a pain and held up the rollers (clunking under the wheels because he didn't stop the track). Now I've gotten to where I can shift to N pretty quickly - can even do it rolling in...
