for an AT these are perhaps the quieter variety. I think the seal on my passenger window is not quite right. The wind/air noise is louder than the tire/road noise. For me. The window was calibrated last service as the app showed it open when it was closed. Perhaps not related to seal.

I fell off the map. Sorry been hectic few weeks.
I totally sucked at keeping good records on the Colorado trip. I anecdotally experienced what I thought was unexpected efficiency. But no real data to back it up so I started keeping a better record.
Rivian R1S Real-World Efficiency at 65–80...
Quick follow-up —
I think the 60 PSI post was about the 20” wheels, not the 22s. 80 PSI max makes sense there.
For the 22s, yeah, I’ve got the 116 load rating too.
And to be more specific than my earlier “50 PSI” comment — I’m actually running 47–49 cold depending on the morning temps. 🤷‍♂️
Running right now at 50. I think they are super smooth ride. I saw somewhere someone was running them at 60. I’m not sure I’d go there but a bit firmer would be possible. I’m in experimental mode.
I tried local. I wanted local. They tried for a week to find them. I found them on Walmart.com ( not an endorsement).
I still had my local do the install.
Thanks. Appreciation for real science after some sleep is good.
The tread markers are a great innovation. Glad to hear the progress report!
I do love the looks but that’s prolly #3 on my list here.
In my experience nothing grips like the Nokian. ( upper Midwest. Lots of ice, snow, some rain all in season) the Nokian is more than an all season in my...
Yes, I had hit the treadwear marker on the OEM set at just under 28,000. Which I thought was OK based on what I understand about those tires.
I’ve been looking for a while and the Rivian shop wanted $2600 to put another set of Perelli’s on.
I did want a more aggressive, all-terrain. In fact I...
Thanks!
I took these pictures backing out of the stall from the installation. I will report back when I have any real data. I’ve seen a couple reviews. They were pretty quiet and they are purportedly an EV biased tire so I have unreasonably a high expectations.
I was pretty happy to find that Nokian now has the outpost in 275/50/22. I can only assume this is a recent add to their stable of sizes. It’s actually not even listed on their site.
I’ve been a big fan of this brand for a while as others have noted they were the first ones to develop a snow...
It just so happens that I ran across these on accident at a Sam’s Club a few days ago, and I was like those are new. They look great at least on the shelf. Just hit the treadwear marker 27K with the OEMs. These may be an option. (exasperated sigh, knowing the past 90 days of research will need...
Middle of (well edge ish) of Nebraska meetup. Met a fellow adventurer in Sterling NE. Met @CO-Ed as we were crossing paths. Really enjoyed his knowledge and conversation. Hope to meet again. Until I’ll keep trying to park next to another Rivian.
