I agree! Mine is a year old and this part is scratched and gouged like a 10+ year old truck just from sliding garbage cans and light-duty building materials in/out. I believe I could pull it off the tailgate with two fingers if I wanted to, so I've been trying to baby it for fear of pulling...
I use an Equilizer WDH (10k lbs). It's fairly easy to set up and quick to connect/reconnect.

I swapped out the two OEM lead acid size-24 battery boxes on the tongue of my trailer with one big box to fit my larger 230ah LiTime battery...
I was on the fence between the Grand Design 2400BH and the Jayco 24BH when I purchased mine in late 2020. I ended up going with the Jayco, but the floor plans are nearly identical. Weight was similar IIRC.
My post on the first page...
I bought a used ("new in box") Rivian charger and always get 11.3kw speeds.
The Rivian chargers can be had for $400-$600, often never installed.
The Tesla Universal chargers are cool, though. It would be nice to have the quick adapter while the industry is transitioning to NACs.
This is an R3 picture from Rivian's website (shown after the unveiling) that shows a NACs cord/NACs charge port. It sounds like the charge port location has changed, but I'm sure they're keeping NACs:
There's always two ways of looking at things, I guess:
As usual, the market takes a "glass half empty" approach. Even though Rivian and others only predicted 8k deliveries this quarter...
We have a 2021 Jayco Jayfeather 24BH. 6,300lbs dry, probably around 7k lbs loaded with food/drinks/stuff.

The bunk beds are great for our two teenage kids. Big awning (21') is one of our favorite...
Of the ~8 different fast charging sites between Knoxville and Nashville (a trip I make about once a month), the RAN station is $0.13 higher per kwh than the next highest charging station. It's definately not a busy station by any means. When I've charged there in the past, I'm usually the only...
I wonder if Rivian will eventually offer a NACs cord replacement. I could see that being beneficial in the future as more and more vehicles move to the new standard. It beats an adapter on your cord everytime. I'd rather just swap the whole cord (or cord end) out if all my vehicles had NACs...
I love the bold colors... but honestly, my next truck will be white. The white vehicles I've had in the past have been so much easier to keep clean and don't seem to show light scratches/swirl marks as bad as other colors.
With that said, I do like the El Cap I currently have... it's just more...
That's good to hear. I haven't had mine on the interstate since the update, but hated how conservative the Gen1 Driver+ is on curves. I'm in east TN, so there's plenty of them around the mountains/plateaus.
Text message integration. Just read my dang texts and let me reply using my voice! This feature has been available through legacy automakers for ages... I'm not sure what the hold up is here.
I mean-- I can use my phone to "start" the vehicle, automatically unlock the doors, cast Hulu to the...
I can just barely hear mine when I'm in a parking garage. Outside of a parking garage, I can't hear mine make any sort of sound, even with the windows rolled down.
Looks like my local(ish) RAN station in Cookeville, TN has jumped again from $0.50/kwh to $0.62/kwh...
Of the 6 stalls there, the most I've seen is two other Rivians there. Most other times, I'm the only one.
Meanwhile, there's several Tesla chargers that range in pricing from $0.38-$0.48 at...
