Yes I’m a she and from the Bay Area. SF also tickets for not curbing tires. I was in the San Bruno who tickets for things like not curbing your wheels, parking on the wrong side of a residential street, having your car in the driveway with a flat tire etc…. Just ways to make more money for the city.
I too have curbed my wheels for years when on steep hills with all different kinds of cars and have never had this issue. The hill I was parked on wasn’t very steep at all just a slight incline. I still think the tie rod had to have some type of defect for it to bend like they said it did. I...
Had no idea anything was wrong until the lights came on. It was then that the braking felt
Off. Can’t take a picture, it’s at the SC being repaired
And the worst part is I never turn my wheels and it was only a slight grade but the police in that city are known for ticketing for not curbing your wheels so that’s the only reason why I did it. Should have just gotten a ticket l, it would have been cheaper.
Well good news is that it’s covered by insurance. Rivian said it would be under comprehensive but after talking to adjuster he said it would be collision. I have nationwide through Rivian.
Here is a photo of all the lights, not sure why they all came on for a bent tie rod.
Well it’s technically a year and a half. I got it August of 23 and I’ve take it to Tahoe about 8 times and the rest is weekend driving errands, golfing etc.
2 weeks ago I was parked on a slight ( very slight grade) and had my wheels turned towards the curb. When I left I turned my wheels to wheelsto drive off and heard a bang noise. I drove less than a 1/4 mile and my screen lit up with limited power, no brake stabilaztion, and no brake regenration...
I also took delivery 8/23 with 12,800 no issues with battery but I'm having my windshield replaced and they added the battery onto the service order. I made the appt in August and finally dropping it off tomorrow. They said they need the vehicle for 3-4 days??!! For a battery and windshield? At...
I had a "little" star near the bottom drivers side. I have Nationwide and glass is covered with no deductible. They came out and said it was too big and that they could not repair it. They also told me that Rivian has not released any after market parts and Rivian would need to replace it. I...
Let me rephrase that. When you are in the hvac screen. There is a button towards the bottom of the screen under all the vents and there is a snowflake/bacon picture. You tap that to choose ac or heat
I got my car back on Tuesday, thankfully it was not the drive motor but the 1/2 shaft that goes into the motor. (It is responsible for the torque in acceleration and the regenative braking) It was the front left shaft. They do not know if it was installed incorrectly at the factory or if it was...
I had the same thing happen to me last Monday! I only had my S 2 weeks and 700 miles when it happened. I did hear a clunking type noise when it happened and then a limited power flashed up and car wouldn’t drive faster than 3 miles. Tried the hard reset as well. I was close to work less than a...
not really a popping noise but more of a grinding noise like on an ice car and you put the car into gear and your on a hill, if that makes sense? lol
Update: sleep mode didn't work and It had to be towed. NOw wiating to hear from SC
Ive had my R1S 2 weeks as of today and yesterday I perfromed the update and was driving to work today when all of a sudden I heard a noise and it felt like something happened to the brakes or motor and I received an error code of limited power and 2 yellow pictures popped up, a car with a circle...
