I had this happen a few months ago as I was heading out on a 100 mile highway journey. It gave me battery warnings just before it told me my speed was reduced. I did a hard reboot, and was able to drive home normally (no speed limit), but then a few weeks later I got the 12v battery issue and...
I wanted to post back on the 12v replacement issue. A month ago I got the notification in the app, and the vehicle, that I needed to make a service appointment to replace the 12v. I have a Sept 23 R1S QM. The earliest mobile appointment wasn't for 4 weeks, which made me nervous, as I'd seen a...
I had my 12v replaced this morning with a mobile appointment. I still hadn't received the update, but the engineer told me that it was very likely the 12v issue had prevented the update. Now I have the new 12v, and an hour later got the notification that the update was available to me...
I have connect+ and still haven't received a notification (as of 10:45am MT, 3/17) - but I have the 12v battery warning and am awaiting my service appointment (Friday) to replace that, so I wonder if that's at play.
Could Rivian be preventing my update because they don't want my car to brick...
I'm curious what that set you back 'doing it yourself' ? I got the wheel, nokian package with tpms from EVS at the start of last winter. They make a massive difference, but I'm sure I paid extra for the 'convenience'. From memory it with tax/shipping etc, it was about $4500.
Not sure what...
I was curious how many here have had the 'replace 12v battery' warning, and how much you were able to drive until you did.
This popped up for me Friday. I called and have a mobile appointment, but not until late March. They told me I could continue to drive, but to try and plug it in when...
Hmmm. I have an iphone 16, I'm on the latest OS, and latest version of Spotify. Either I'm an idiot, or this isn't available to me. Is there something else you're also doing - perhaps you're inside / connected to your rivian at the same time ?
Are you on an iphone or some other phone / os ...
I doubt it unfortunately. Search for threads with 'horn' in the title - there are others who've switched out the horn on the driver's side and it's documented, although it's more involved than the passenger wheel well option.
See my next post (after this one you quoted). I'd replied giving the thread with the install details including photos. The page I quoted, and the next page from memory.
I got the red one, the 'high tone only', and paired that with the existing single tone horn to create a louder dual tone. This is the thread I used. See the photos about halfway down page 4 from Haloeyes. If you have the horn on the passenger side, this is a very simple way to change it...
there are lots of threads about upgrading the horn. I did mine this time last year - later gen 1. The later gen 1s (from memory March 23 on, although double check) are VERY easy to do yourself. You just remove a few screws from the passenger front wheel well, use this to split the existing...
don't feel bad - I snapped mine too... fortunately it went back on, and with a bit of duck tape has been functioning okay for the last 6+ months... although if you find a full replacement arm, please post back. I need to bite the bullet and replace mine at some point.
Funnily enough - they're the identical size to the 21s. I was concerned about having to get the rivian recallabrated for the different tire size, but I didn't need to. I have a fancy radar detector that has digital GPS speed that's very accurate. It matches the speedo of the rivian with both...
I have the 21 inch wheels / pirellis, so bought the 20 inch wheel and nokian set from EVS. They came inflated, balanced, and with tpms in about a week. I got the bottle jack too and changed them out myself. So now I have the pirellis for the summer and the nokians for the winter, prolonging...
