Our family of 4 has only an R1T Launch Edition and Bosch ebikes (same motors in all our transportation!). We have a day 1 R2 pre-order on the books as well for a second vehicle but we’d rather it was an R3.
I have an upgrade order placed (hopefully shipping soon), but the biggest question I have is how do you remove the prior version? I have the one with the carved topo wood and felted granola bowl.
I have the same questions/concerns about the strength. My kids (55 & 65lbs) have walked around together on my v1 cover before I had a chance to stop them and it was fine. I have also personally (190lbs) stepped up onto mine by accident when loading the roof rack and it was also fine. For all the...
Interesting choice, this is super close to a reliable EA station in Warrenton, OR that we always hit when heading down the coast. With the recent RAN price increases, I don’t think I’d choose this over EA.
It looks like there’s 12 stalls there from what the Tesla app says, and it also lists it as not having CCS adapters which seems to be clearly wrong. ??‍♂️ I’ll be curious to see how often it gets ICE’d, that parking lot is small and always packed and I can’t imagine the locals are excited about...
Trump has pledged to eliminate all federal incentives for the EV industry, including both EV manufacturers as well as charging infrastructure. He intends to go all-in on supporting and subsidizing fossil fuels for energy and transportation. NGL, it’s not good for Rivian or the future of our...
This is what I’ve been waiting for. I bought a can of the cleaner almost a year ago but have no idea what to do with it and didn’t want to damage things.
Much of Seattle owners’ service experiences have been at the Bellevue service center, which was one of the first in the country and massively undersized and overloaded as Rivian grew. While they ran a couple small temporary service centers to try to alleviate the pain, wait times were rough...
You stressed how easy to remove they are, but do they have locks to attach to the truck or is it also easy to remove the racks with your gear attached? One of the primary benefits of the factory crossbars is the Yakima SKS standardized locking. You can use the same lock key for your whole rack...
FWIW, I have the Hakka LT1 on my 20” wheels in factory-matching size and it’s awesome. Incredible wet packed snow and ice traction, and quieter and better range than the factory ATs.
Necromancing this thread here… has anyone solved this yet? I have the Klima spray ready to use and with the autumn rain my truck is back to stank central. Help!!
The situation is not great. There are two fast charger stalls in the convention center parking garage, but that’s it for DCFC and I’ve never found an available stall. The resort daylots have ChargePoint chargers that offer a measly 7kW shared between two cords. The best option is to grab one of...
I got the second batch address email last week (030xx VIN), and just got a UPS shipping notification for it this morning. It’s en route and will be here Friday!
Every time I use a parking garage I always snap a photo of the nearest marked post/sign to my vehicle, and the elevator level when I get on the elevator. Makes it easy to backtrack. Turning around and looking behind you every time you go through a doorway is a great way to improve situational...
My Hakka LT3s on 20s are absolutely incredible. I didn’t even realize how great they were on normal dry pavement until I put my ATs back on this spring.
They refused to use mine and said they were pros at Rivians and had their own pucks to use. They proceeded to fuck up my truck by not aligning the pucks correctly or using the wrongs ones entirely.
