The service centers are a hyper local issue. Some, like mine in Richmond, do a great job. Others there are horror stories. Like everything else on this forum, the bad gets reported and the good largely goes unnoticed.
I would not advise making this kind of decision, one way or the other, based on social media. If you are influenced by forums like this, make sure you avoid the reddit sub. For the record, I've owned two R1Ts and they are both solid. I would not own anything else, except maybe an R2.
" I did try and go into the settings and find the toggle where you could set it to not use proximity lock while at home, but I couldn't find it " - Really? It's under "Access" or whatever. There is also a manual. I haven't observed any change in behavior with the recent releases. I'd try both...
My Tacoma had a recall to replace the entire frame because they forgot to put rust proofing on it, and it was going to collapse. I had a loaner for 4 months. Service issues can happen to anyone, any car manufacturer.
And this will accomplish what? If it is so bad sell your Rivian and buy something else. I don’t have issues with my service center. Sorry that you do.
I would say your one anecdote doesn't mean systemic problems. It works both ways. If you have a rea
It works both ways. One bad anecdote doesn't mean systemic problems. You clearly have an axe to grind, this isn't an effective forum for it.
Since we are sharing experiences, both my trucks have been great. My service center (Richmond VA) is respectful, prompt and proactive. I have no complaints.
When you make sweeping statements about the company, the vehicles and the service based on your one experience, it just makes you sound...
Okay, so let me do it for you. The reason we have these changes is because we actually get updates. Frequently. Updates that improve the vehicles every 6 weeks or so. Does anyone remember what the software was like in 2022? OMG. So much better now. The auto ride height was required because...
A few things here... DM trucks don't have sand mode. We have to use off-road mode. I'd never go lower than 28 or so. The OBX is a very wild beach. Lots of divets, depressions, holes, etc. Hit one at a really low pressure and you may lose the bead.
This is the best stock truck ever for the...
Waynesboro is in the parking lot of a Martins grocery store, BTW. Right off I64. Watch the construction on I81. They have done a good job covering that I81 corridor.
I think OPs issue is the 330 mile range, vs the 260 mile range his test yielded. He would have to get an efficiency of at least 3 mi/kwh to get that range. Is it possible? Sure, just drive 35 mph for 9 hours. One good thing about the gen 2, is that you can regularly charge it to 100%, right...
Try a reset?
I got a new iPhone 16 pro and had to re-associate it as a key. Pair it with BT first I guess. It wasn't an issue.
When I picked up the truck two years ago the iPhone wouldn't pair, period. We did a infotainment reset and it paired right up. Have you tried that?
