Got my adaptor a few days ago. Was eager to try out the "Super Charger" experience. I had already added my vehicle to the Tesla App (My daughter drives a Model 3, which I own.)
I drove to a Super Charging location I was familiar with. Followed directions. No joy. Kept getting "unplug and try...
My VIN is 000000706. (R1S Launch) like everyone else, I responded immediately to the adaptor email. I asked customer service a month ago - not a clue - but said I would get an email when it was about a month out from being shipped. ?
I don’t know how Caravano still has a job. It’s just fail...
at some point I read an interview with RJ and he didn’t rule it out, he said “~we’ll respond to what the community wants.” I apologize to everyone as it’s clear that this has been asked before- I didn’t mean to pile on. I’m not on here much, and I was lazy, I didn’t look. Sorry.
Happy to hear your opinion about whether Rivian should have CarPlay. Mostly I just wanted to poll the membership about appetite for CarPlay. I feel like it is overwhelmingly desired by owners, but I may very well be wrong. Hence my question to you all.
As you are not an owner, my response may be worthless to you (sorry). Not sure you can create a Rivian account without a reservation. I recently called through the app (there is a contact us section). It took 18 minutes to get a customer service representative, who, then could not give an answer...
I was not made aware of a 7500 mile service. But mine has been in multiple times for a variety of reasons - so maybe they just took care of it then? I’m at 29k miles, which seems like more than I’ve actually driven - but who knows.
I have the 22’s (RS1 Launch Ed)
When I needed to replace my tires (19k - but they should have been replaced at 17k) there was a dearth options and they are all $$$$$.
I think the 22s look great. But from a practical standpoint (cost) I wish I’d just gone with the 20”. I put Michelin Defender...
I noticed a clunking, rattling sound that seemed to emanate from passenger side. I thought maybe suspension glitch or something stuck on the wheel. Got to a place where I could take a peek.
The cover for an access point had “opened itself”. Seems like a poor design decision.
If you're wondering about the title of this post then you probably don't need to read it.
But if you were like me - and thought "These parts will connect. Therefore, I can now charge at Super Chargers while I am waiting for the adapter Rivian is going to send me." This might save you from a...
Curious if anyone else has noticed the entertainment system volume seems to have been limited down. Even at full blast it’s nowhere near as loud as it was originally in my R1S. I could make the doors vibrate before. No longer.
- Why this level of quality that Rivian is currently producing an expectation of the norm?
i don’t think this is an expectation of the norm. Hence the folks complaining about all the various things you’ve mentioned. But it’s not pair of pants from Nordstrom, you can’t just take it back and get...
My R1S consistently vibrtes starting around 82mph. I took it to service center. They told me:
a. This is a “known characteristic” and alignment is ok & no damage is occurring to tires etc. I believe them about the “known characteristic” I don’t believe them when they say nothing is being...
