I agree the Rivian glass does seem softer than other vehicles I have owned. I have not had a crack though. 37k miles over 2 years, lots of driver+ on my trips, usually set it for the largest gap.
I’ve had 2 cringe worthy hits from stones that I expected to see a crack but, both only left...
They may have it in June for Austin, will be interesting to see if they mention it in tomorrows earnings report.
Keep in mind back in April, 2019 the Robotaxi was going to be on the road in 2020.
I’ve had great luck with my early vin (1663) R1S, if my wife did not want a smaller vehicle I would by her an R1S now.
Since she wants something a little smaller, I plan on getting whatever configuration they have released when my number comes up. The Model S she is driving is getting old...
This is a complaint from people that goes back to when computer OS updates started being deployed.
People in general are not fans of change so when an update changes something that they were using it triggers a reaction.
My take, par for the course and not worthy of any aggravation over it.
I just got an E-Mail from ABRP. Looks like it was a data issue, it is resolved now, you can see the RAN stations on the map and the plan now will route through some of the RAN stations.
Yes the entire tariff situation is a solution in search of a problem. US already is one of the top manufacturing countries in the world. Being in a trade deficit is not entirely a bad thing as there are certain things we can’t make here or can’t make them economically. Manufacturing is not even...
Even if drivable things are not currently bad in SoCal.
I just had grease leak I noticed when rotating my tires from my left front half-shaft. Got an appointment in a week, in and out the same day.
That is about what Tesla is right now.
I thought the R1T was a lot louder when the one I was in had off-road tires. I recently was in an R1S with off-road tires and now believe it to be the tires that make the difference. Even more off a difference now that I have the Michelin Defender 22s on my R1S.
I replaced my Pirelli 22s at 28.5k with 3/32 left. I could have gone over 30k but was going on a long trip, would have been over 35k when I got home, did not think I could get to 35k.
Have over 8k on my Michelins, they appear to be wearing much better, very happy with them.
The latest ABRB ver 5.7.4 lost RAN from map and routes.
When looking at the maps or creating routes the RAN stations are not available. I reported it to ABRP and Rivian. The Web version seems to have lost them as well.
Does anyone have an older version to check if they are gone as well...
Certainly a possibility and could account for the statement.
I’m not actually taking a stance one way or the other, it will get ironed out. I’m just saying that particular statement in the article causes me to have doubts about the claim.
I’m not saying it isn’t true but this line in that article I find very hard to believe.
“and for a while said he drove 72 miles a day when at most he drove 20.”
