Tapping out as well, goodbye Rivian...

Thanks OP for sharing. To each his or her own, I certainly wish you the best with your Jeep. I had a 2021 wrangler 4xe for about 18 months while waiting on my Rivian. I traded in my old car on the Jeep during covid-induced great trade-in pricing, got the full EV tax credit on the Jeep, then...

    Bi-Directional Charging??? When???

@Fmc @SeaGeo I was looking at this Anker Solix F3800 as well last week as a storm was headed my way... I like that this unit has a bit more output than other similarly priced options. My ideal scenario (until we have true V2H as others are discussing in this thread) would be to use the 240V...

???GIVEAWAY RealWheels EV Rivian of the Month Contest (RWCev ROTM ) - October 2024???

I should just repost the video of when I installed your horn in my R1S... My truck dressing up as a truck with a real horn for halloween!! But until then, here's my truck dressed up as a beach buggy. I get lots of strange looks from Jeepers when I go into the soft sand, but the Rivian loves...

So do we still have to wave at other Rivians on the road or is that no longer a thing?

I used to be very excited whenever I saw another Rivian and I'd flash my flashers, now that I pass at least one or two every day, I'm just slightly excited and I give a small wave.

BFGoodrich KO3 10k Mile Review on Rivian R1T

Those are good lookin tires - thanks for sharing. Please keep us posted on your thoughts. I have 27k miles on my KO2s and I keep them at 60 PSI cold and rotate every 5k miles. I suggest doing a chalk test with any non-OEM tire. Check youtube for instructions. I did the chalk test a...

Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

@EV Sportline I love my EV Sportline sliders on my R1S. I've been in service twice since I've had them on but I don't know if the Orlando SC had to use a lift or not - I didn't hear anything from the SC about it. I do know that Discount Tire has had no issues using the lift for two tire...

Ford Ditches Electric SUV: Is it Time to Address the Elephant in the Room?

I would be very surprised if Rivian pursues something with a gas engine. it kind of goes against the company ethos. Yes, I just listened to RJ talk on a couple of podcasts this week :) Chargers are becoming more and more ubiquitous and 300 miles of range sure feels like plenty to me. For...

Home charging question- new RS1 owner soon

Yes, that should work great as an interim solution. If you're only driving 15-30 miles a day you won't have to charge but a few hours a week. I agree with some of the notes above, eventually installing a nice, safe, grounded receptacle on a fat, fresh circuit is a great way to go that will...

“Slower due to warm plug” charging error

I found this thread while searching, my J1772 at the house always warms up and slows down charging. I used to get the fault, but since a software update (maybe late 2023?) the vehicle now just slows down the charge. My charger comes from my power company with "included" off-peak charging...

Stuck in mud! Help pull me out -- ideas or assistance in Saugerties/Woodstock/Catskills NY area?

Just hook up an R1S to the back of it and yank away. Check facebook for local offroad recovery groups - we have several here in Florida and locals are always willing to help...

Oh! Now I Get It! I now envy R1T owners

I had water dripping from the rear view mirror of my R1S - I uploaded pictures and a video with a service ticket. Upon inspection Rivian found a bad seal at the top of the windshield and they replaced the windshield. I've had R1S and R1T loaners before - I'm not too picky so I didn't notice...

Apple Watch As A Key works great on Gen 1 with WAAK app

This is so awesome. I haven't noticed it working as a key yet, but it sure as heck works to lock/unlock with the buttons. Like the OP, I always wear my watch and a couple of times this week I was in my garage and my phone was in the house, and I was able to get in my Riv using the watch. Thanks...

I’ve always secretly judged people who put M & AMG badges on non-M/AMG cars…..

I've always been a bit of a debadger, I just like the clean look. I think my first debadge was my 1994 4Runner - just way too many plastic letters on the tailgate for me. I almost took the "Rivian" off my liftgate but decided not to, just to help spread brand awareness in these early years...

It’s so refreshing not having to Stop at a Walmart for a Charge - BBQ and Margaritas > Walmart pit stops.

The Bucees in St. Augustine and Daytona Beach have adapter-compatible Tesla Superchargers along with Mercedes-branded chargers with CCS. Love my @A2ZEV, I wouldn't leave home without it.

    Cracked windshield

Just added windshield replacement to my open service center ticket. I've had two small chips on this windshield, both repaired pretty easily with the Rain-x windshield repair kit purchased from Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IPS4APU/ ). This one's a bit bigger, though, and the...

First charge using the A2Z adapter

I used mine for the first time today. I tried yesterday and couldn't get it on - a friend saw my post and called and told me that you really have to hit it. That worked! So here's what I did, for anyone finding this when searching a2z like I did (thanks OP for letting me add to your post)...
