Sorry to hear about your ordeal. My tri-motor is working as expected, touch wood, thus far - I have under 800 miles on it. Hope yours get corrected soon.
Heat pump is not on. It is the center dashboard speaker grill area making pretty annoyingly loud noise. When I put some pressure on it, it seems to die down. So 100% it is causing the sound.

Who did you talk to (or communicate with) at Rivian to initiate the buyback process? All I know is a generic customer service email address.

I have the same issue - Gen2 R1S performance dual motor. Started happening after the latest update .47. Hopefully it gets fixed in the next update. Huge inconvenience.
