Gen 1: Haven’t received it but with such a huge ADAS update for Gen 2 I wouldn’t be surprised if they were doing a slower roll than usual. If anything I’d think most Gen 1 would get it first since it’s lower risk.
Toyota is also $200B in debt (look it up). Those two companies are among the top most indebted in the world. Not to mention Toyota dragged their feet on EVs and only sell 1% of their models as EVs.
VW is $200B in debt (yes billion), is closing factories due to under-utilization and their market share is plummeting. It’s mainly because they can’t compete with the new Chinese EV makers and their various failed ventures (buying Cariad to develop software-enabled vehicles, which failed)...
Wow, bummed they didn’t have these when I installed my fixed ones last year, and at a similar price with the current discoun!. I bet they’re much more aerodynamic too.
My problem is the rear. In extreme cold I can hear the pump moving but fluid never comes out. It does come out the front though. If you don’t hear it whirring I suspect there’s a failure
It’s -18 here in MN (-38 with windchill) so I wasn’t about to let my wife do her 100mi Roundtrip commute in the R1S, even with a 75% charge and HVAC on scheduled departure. Just too risky.
