I appreciate your perspective. My wife and i keep a spare car (our older minivan) just parked in the garage in case we have to deal without our rivian for an extended period of time. I had a few wiring/electrical issues after i first got ours last fall, and it had spent almost 3 months in the...
What i really liked when having the Equinox EV as a rental was it showed instantaneous power draw from the battery...so when you were stopped at a red light, you could still see how much power was being drawn from the battery for your radio/HVAC etc. I thought it was neat. I'd like to see that...
I just smacked (slapped) the top of the dash the other day and it went away for the time being. We'll see when it decides to get out of line again. Thanks for the tip you mentioned!
I think when all the current (CCS) Rivian owners have an adapter to NACS, they will start transitioning their RAN stations to NACS, then they will transition new vehicles to NACS.
I also did this after I took delivery last August, had my amended 2022 return filed in September, received my credit + interest direct deposited about a month later.
Thanks for the update. I have yet to get mine to work on any part of I565 outside of Huntsville. So not sure if it's just not a mapped area. Regular highway assist works fine, but not the hands free option.
That's good to hear! Did you enjoy the drive without needing hands on? I imagine it a weird experience.
On the update note, my side mirrors do not tilt in reverse, so don't know if there is a setting for it, but couldn't find it on quick browse.
Funny you mentioned that, I did a full reset after I got back home because I thought that may help, I didn't try auto lane change, I was too frustrated trying to to get hands off to work, disabling and re enabling highway assist and was only on the freeway for 4 miles.
I will try it out again...
I haven't driven it with the update a ton yet, but I was disappointed on a freeway where I get highway assist that it didn't allow me to take hands off the wheel. Still pinged me to put my hands back. My understanding from notes is that hands off isn't necessarily available everywhere that...
Sport mode is fun but realistically only used it twice. I have the all terrain tires, and I'll spin all four at the launch when I punch it. So I'm not the best use for those as I don't want to shred my tires. Hah. My next set I'll probably do more of a road tire. Hah
I got pinged by Rivian Roamer that my vehicles update is available. I'm on vacation so my vehicle has been parked with family in ATL. I'd appreciate anyone giving any feedback if they've had issues with the vehicle after update. Deciding if I should execute the update when I get back with family...
I agree, as some have mentioned a clunk, I've been wondering if I'm missing something because I haven't heard/noticed anything, I drive in AP mode all the time. DM performance R1S FWIW.
I'm a fan of this one too "The driver display now shows notifications that warn you preemptively if cold weather may affect range or if cold weather starts to affect range." I wonder what the trigger is for this. Is it if power is being used for to heat battery...or are there other things.
Do you use the Rivian wall charger? If you do you may be able to add you local/home charging rate/utility. I use a chargepoint wall charger and in my chargepoint app i can add my local utility rate so it tabulates my charging cost in that app.
Yeah they service invoice said "performed Rivian wire repair and removed and replaced the front right sensor"
I remember though when service called me to tell me they found it (they had it multiple weeks trying to diagnose and figure it out) he mentioned something about a pin being slightly bent...
Yup I had this happen. Fixed in my last service appt a few months ago. There was a pin in a loose connector that when it got cold enough made the connection unstable. Haven't had the issue since.
