I've had more build issues with my Tesla (2018 Model S) than my Rivian. Some (like door handles and windows) i've given up trying to get addressed and just live with them until the break bad.

Tesla does still struggle in service, not as bad as Rivian, but as you noted they've had more time. But its still pretty bad on the Tesla front which makes me continue to have concerns for both companies versus the old dealership (stealership) model.

Ah thanks. I had that configured but they removed it from the configuration when they were having issues and there is no option to get it now as far as I've heard.

What I dont get is these are adventure vehicles. Plus EVs. Neither are a great fit for city life with apartment charging challenges, tight spaces etc. Put a service center at the base of Mount Wachusett or something and let us ski or hike while we wait.

Great sounds easy. The Tesla you have to take apart the dash. How often are people replacing these? I definitely dont want to drive for 3 hours to have Rivian do this or use the (seemingly inferior) filter from Rivian.
