I canceled my order for a Quad Max due to this new policy. Given you can’t test drive it, and my delivery at the Mahwah location was effectively a poorly lit warehouse, I do not believe you can properly inspect it. This model no longer works for me.
I have had several Rivians. All of which...
I don’t blame you for being angry. Wait until you need some other work done by Rivian. Their customer service has become one of the worst in the industry. Far surpassing dealership networks.
It is unfortunately something you just have to accept if you want to drive the truck. Hopefully...
Yup. 2 emails (customer service, and guide), chat, as well as a phone call. As stated above, all helpful people, but no one actually did anything or made any progress.
These are also the simple things to get right or to correct. It just shows a lack of focus on the customer.
Rivian’s downward spiral for customer service has unfortunately continued. Love my truck, but everything around it from the company is just falling apart.
Case in point, I ordered a set of crossbars and an extended gear guard cable for my R1T. Over a week later, I received shipping...

The Rivian...
Following up, I still have not heard a peep from my Guide. This is after 2 calls to Rivian customer service to start the return process. I also indicated to customer service that my guide has been completely non-responsive. I do not get the automated texts back about their operating hours...
Mine does this with the braking assist on as well. I determined it’s from the pin in the assembly that connects the brake bar to the pedal. The slop in the connection causes the noise. Turning off braking assist does solve it. Refitting a new pin or better connection style would also solve it
My experience was quite different. I asked them quote a jeep wrangler 392 and a ram 1500. Both were well below market - enough I was willing to walk away from the trade-in credit (7.5% in CT) and sell them to local dealers.
We've had a couple of these failures reported on the forums recently. My new truck is coming on Friday. Makes me want to pull those bolts and loc-tite them myself.
