Not just that, but never has anyone been able to fill up their ICE car at home. Chargers out in the world is obviously important and needs to increase both in scale and reliability. But being able to “fuel” your vehicle at home is the game changer for EVs from ICEs, in my opinion.
I have the ChargePoint Flex and have been very happy with it. It’s a simple unit, though I didn’t want any bells and whistles since I can get a majority of the data I want from the Rivian app. I also have it on a 60 amp breaker so I get 48 amps of charging to the truck.
I’ve been a Milwaukee guy since I was old enough to buy my own* tools which usually has me biased towards their Packout line. I wouldn’t have thought about stuffing a cooler in the gear tunnel. I’m gonna have to try what I have in the garage to see how it fits in comparison to your toughbuilt...
I’m not sure if you want to go to Yuba City as your title states, or Eureka as your post suggests. But on a very quick typing into A Better Route Planner, there’s several ways you could get to where you would want to go. Obviously cross reference it all with plug share but there’s a handful of...
What do you mean by “in Nationwide’s network?” It’s not legal in California for an insurance company to “steer” you to another shop. You’re welcome to go wherever you want for repairs. Unless something has dramatically changed in a way that I’m not aware.
I’m not able to help you with the adapter, but when you say “Rivian charger,” do you mean a RAN charger or simply any CCS charger? And are you driving to Page, AZ or staying there for the length of the trip? It does look like there’s a handful of level 2 chargers, though they seem to be...
I’m not sure what part of the country you live in, but for me, energy is cheapest when it’s “cleanest.” According to my power company, at least. So I just make sure to charge when it’s cheapest to do so which theoretically hits two birds with one stone.
I’m not sure if you ended up calling Rivian service, but I just got off the phone with them and they were able to help me out.
We did the whole soft and hard reset dance on the truck which didn’t help. Then they had me delete the phone as a key through the app. All of a sudden, my FOB worked! I...
This started yesterday out of nowhere for me too with my R1T. I would have been stuck if it weren’t for the key card. I reset my phone and did a soft reset on the truck to no avail. The super concerning part is that my fob no longer works either which makes me think it’s something on the truck’s...
It’s noble that you’re trying to do the right thing by sending it back to Rivian, but legally speaking, you are under no obligation to return it and it is, in fact, yours to keep. This is pretty explicit in the FTC’s“Mail, internet, or telephone order merchandise rule.” As it says: “… Moreover...
I think you’re thinking of the “destination” fee which is about $1,800. That is charged regardless of pickup/drop off location. The delivery fee is new within the last handful of months and is only charged if the vehicle is brought to you instead of being picked up at the plant or service center.
I think your safest bet would be to shoot a quick email with that question to your tax advisor. Unless others here have experience with a similar situation.
