I use the Reese Straight Line WD hitch with my Airstream 23cb, I find the chain type much easier to hook up than the bracket hook setups (especially with any angle). I used this same hitch with my previous Land Cruiser which is about the same wheelbase as your R1S ā¦ youāre going to want 1k lb...
I donāt see much value out of the bed glider for my use, have had ARB drawers in several Land Cruisers and found them really useful. You can store a ton of gear securely and still have āopen spaceā for daily cargo. Tire compartment is a pretty big loss here though -
Multiple Chinese EVs (XPeng P5/G9, Nio ET7, Avatr 07) and in the States the latest Waymo Robotaxi (6th gen Zeekr) are all using today.
I get you guys point however, the cameras and software are just too integrated to make upgrading these feasible. Thx for the insight -
I love the internet, everyone is free to be a complete ass towards everyone else. Yes I know what LiDAR is (Light Detection and Ranging), and I also know many modern ADAS are using integrated LiDAR+RGB cameras. This was complete speculation, but not a comment of stupidity. Good luck with your...
At least we are talking tech now, I can respect that and see what you mean here. You could likely go to a higher resolution camera, but not the Gen2 factory camera. Iām guessing it does more for the self-driving features to warrant two harnesses (lidar?). I just hate the āwe canāt do anything...
This is likely for the image composition, would be interesting to see what the straight feeds look like just hooking up a higher resolution camera. Not saying this is a plug and play mod, but it would be interesting to tinker and see.
This thread has some of the worst comments Iāve ever read, of course you could replace the cameras if you wanted to bad enough. No matter what they did with the harness, it still has wiring going to each camera. Itās unlikely the harness plugs changed being bin parts doing the same thing, but...
Change your cluster to the view posted above with the efficiency graph, it will show real time for you to track. Are you able to pre-condition with your truck plugged in (scheduled departure feature)? Sometimes that helps get better range in the cold,
Battery materials from China, circuit boards from Taiwan, glass from Canada, wiring harnesses & rubber from Mexico. Donāt know what the current mix is, but those are pretty ubiquitous across the industry for us manufactured vehicles.
I have the sunshade, it works but itās bulky and there is absolutely nowhere to put it. It goes to the back floorboard, then gear tunnel when the kids get in and I usually forget about it for a while. It works better in the Texas sun than others I tried.
I also have the first gen TWraps...
Was hoping for a bit smaller vehicle for the wife, she parks in a garage for work so smaller and shorter wheelbase would be nice. Thatās the backup plan if itās too small ā¦
Definitely will, rode in the backseat of a buddies 5th gen over the weekend and my head was brushing the headliner. Granted Iām 6ā1ā and it had a sunroof that would take more room than the glass roof in this ā¦ it was pretty tight.
Iām just going to say that since I got my G1 R1T, I just donāt want to drive anything else. And this is coming from someone with multiple very cool options in the garage, itās just that great to own & drive. The Rivian & Tesla are head & shoulders over other options on software, and thatās...
3rd gen was a good size, hoping it feels similar.
Mach E and Model Y arenāt comparable to me, the hatch kills cargo space and they canāt handle more than a gravel road. Iām just not a fan of tall cars ?
Was hoping more 4Runner sized, not sure if it will be big enough for family of 4 camping with dog/gear/food. Weāll see once we can actually test drive one (have reservation).
Something seems off, I had my 22.5k comprehensive service done in Austin on 12/24. It was $300 with a 5 tire rotation and Iāve attached the screen shot from my invoice. My local advisor from the Austin Service center sent me the invoice of work to be performed 3 days before my appointment, I...
