  1. Tesla Drivers Are The Worst

LOL - No, this was in NY. My wife and I commuted to Spring Grove for about 15 years and endured the York "light cycle" both ways to get to 116. We're grateful to be working from home now!
  2. Tesla Drivers Are The Worst

He's a great guy, but has "prickish" tendencies when he drives...Cuts people off, stop signs become "slow down a little" signs, right turn on red by slowing down only as much as necessary to make a 90-degree turn at an intersection. You know the type...First time we let him drive our Audi A4 25...
  3. Tesla Drivers Are The Worst

This joke almost cost me dearly...I told it to my wife and got this response: "My brother drives a BMW...Are you saying he's a prick?" Fortunately my filter kicked in and I refrained from replying "Your words, not mine" and simply said "I thought it was funny."
  4. Tesla Drivers Are The Worst

👍 With this analysis, Yugo drivers would be classified the best in the country :)
  5. Two modes of entry is better than none.

And a spare fob battery in the center console...
  6. Yet Another Connect+ Alternative

I'd love to hear that others have seen this as well. My wife takes a lot of Teams calls while we're traveling (we both work from home) and we were pulled over at a rest area so she could take one with her boss. She was tethered to her phone and kept getting the dreaded "slow network speeds are...
  7. Toyo Open Country A/T III EV Tires (LT275/65R20) - Fantastic (Review & Efficiency Stats)

I've never used Tire Rack...Perhaps this is a stupid question: I see that they include road hazard protection for free. Do they do that even if I have them ship to my local tire place and have them installed there? I always get the road hazard protection, but my guy charges me $25 or so per...
  8. Yet Another Connect+ Alternative

I agree - and we prepaid it so it dropped the cost to $12.49/month. It's worth it, to me, to get into the car and not have to think about what's going to work or what do I need to do. It just always works. Furthermore, as I noted above, the Rivian does a better job picking up cell signals...
  9. The beginning of a new adventure, moving from southern Georgia to Northern Indiana

Nice to see your 160KW number at an EA Charger. I used one on Thursday (ironically at EA's Headquarters in Reston, VA) and got a whopping 27 KW/HR! I was able to switch chargers after I picked up my groceries and got up to around 220 KW (on a 350 charger).
  10. Highway Assist - First Impressions

That's great - Thanks for posting and I'm sorry you waited so long to try it! I use it frequently, but you need to understand its limitations. Do yourself a favor and disengage it when you hit construction of any kind. I find that it works great in start/stop traffic, but if you're in an area...
  11. The beginning of a new adventure, moving from southern Georgia to Northern Indiana

Yes - I'm cracking up here! We were on a bus tour - I think there were 34 of us and we pulled into Buc-ee's for a lunch break. It was supposed to be 45 minutes but I think we were there for at least twice that as they had to round people up who "lost track of time." It's a bit like a...
  12. The beginning of a new adventure, moving from southern Georgia to Northern Indiana

Awesome photos - it looks like the pups are used to traveling. I hit my first Buc-ee's a couple of years ago while traveling near Atlanta. There's a billboard on the PA Turnpike heading west: I smile every time I drive past it!
  13. Two modes of entry is better than none.

@SwampNut - I can always plan on smiling when I read one of your self-deprecating posts. Thanks for not taking yourself too seriously! I spend a lot of time on this forum and enjoy learning and smiling. This post reminded me that I had to reboot my phone while driving not long ago. The...
  14. Two modes of entry is better than none.

So who wants to do an experiment? Let your phone battery get really low and put it into your Rivian and leave it there (maybe watching a movie) until it dies and see if the Rivian locks when it no longer detects a phone. Inquiring minds want to know...
  15. Current total number of R2 reservations?

Yeah - That's what I need. My wife and I both work 100% from home, but there are still times when we need 2 vehicles. I guess the other thing I should look at is just how often we need 2 vehicles...I'd probably save a lot of money by taking Uber if it's only once or twice a week versus the...
  16. Current total number of R2 reservations?

Thank you - I hadn't heard of it but will definitely look there. That's exactly what I'm looking for and I don't really care which vehicle I get as long as it's full EV. If I could buy 20K miles for around $5K with it ending in 2 years it would be perfect!
  17. Two modes of entry is better than none.

Second that...Our rule was always pretty simple: If I made the kids wear a helmet riding or skiing, then I would too. It's like seat belts: Set the example!
  18. Current total number of R2 reservations?

You should be in pretty good shape to get one by then...I'm actually looking for a "bridge EV" to get me by until the R2 is available. My twins are high school seniors and are going to take my two ICE vehicles (a Highlander and an Outback) to school with them in the fall, leaving me without...
