EXCELLENT News, and thanks for the update. From Charleston I was keeping fingers crossed for Charlotte location, but this is even better. And if you had to lodge an overnight in Greenville - well that's not the worse thing. Thanks for sharing
When fully charged without setting a destination in addition to 100% charge reading you get a mileage available reading - this has dropped by over 10% of total former capacity . I understand when setting a destination it’s factoring in temperature, terrain etc - but this is available miles at...
I am experiencing the same thing since last update - charged to 100% for a trip over holidays and max charge is down a full 10% - repeated for return trip - same issue. 2024 G1 RS Dual Motor .
Have experienced the same problem since the last update while I was using the app inside the car. In the AM found it had reverted back to prior setting (100%) from trip. Will now be triple checking and not using app while inside car. I suspect one system overriding the other, maybe. Got it...
Sounds like wonderful winter sleigh bells to me.......Just need some Clydesdales to complete the effect. Great job Rivian! Thank you. And for those who are unhappy - there are other choices.
I have a dual max pack R1S and find the route planning terrific. One item of note in this thread, at start, system will plan a stop but eliminate the stop as you proceed based on your actual performance. Seems as if you should put in a ticket if a reset does not fix this.
Likewise - I try not to take my R1S to the airport due to minuscule parking spaces and unkind proximate door openers but when I must, I do leave gear guard on - and it’s still about 2% a day in the 60-80 temp range. You should be fine.
No test drive, drove it home (850 miles) from the pick up location...and fell in love.....still in love with my R1S. But it really is your personal comfort level.
Likewise - didn’t have to do this before but after reading this just went to garage , connected Riv to WiFi - and voila - 10 minutes later, Update pops in .
One quick note - next time in Florence, SC - Stop at Buckees - right off I95 all high speed Mercedes Chargers, several of them, well organized very easy....AND get your brisket sandwich!
Thanks for question - the Columbia, South Carolina site was very easy. Pulled straight into charger at far end, which was one of the units identified as CCS capable, pushed button to access charger and connected to my vehicle. It read my vehicle just like at RAN and sent charge fee through...
Charged my S at that very station on Sunday - worked great. Note the guidance tells you which chargers are CCS and NACS. I too was a little confused about the Tesla stop but looked up spot on internet and found that they had ccs - and when I got there found the little “I” telling me how to...
When I picked up my R1S in NJ in February I followed Rivian Nav and charging guidance back to Charleston SC - and it was terrific. All major highways I would have taken anyway and charging sites immediately off highway. No, I didn't compare pricing etc as it was the maiden voyage, was happy to...
Bought my R1S 6 weeks ago, Nationwide insurance thru Rivian - did not enroll any other vehicles. Not true about multiple cars - Nationwide asked but I declined - no problem.
