I watched the show for the Rivians and became enamored with the Livewire.
I was really impressed by the pre-planning that Rivian did with some of the Level 2 charges installed along the way.
Great adventure. @tps5352 inspired me to watch it again!
The Phoenix Service Center is 3-4 months out to schedule, but they usually work on the vehicle within 2 or 3 days of receipt.
I expect this to improve dramatically with the opening of the Tempe facility next month.
I've had this happen to me twice (target charge rate set to 71%, a target I never use) - level 2 charging at home once and DCFC on a roadtrip. My instances both occurred when my software was 2024.39.
I had this issue listed as a squawk on my service visit last week. No resolution - anecdotally...
There's a 6 pedestal RAN with a trailer stall and an 80 pedestal Tesla (open to other
EVs) charging sites in Quartzite. You'll have no problem getting a charge in that town!
And a bit economically counterproductive as Tesla is the only car manufacturer of any type that is actually assembling cars in California.
You're right, though. Lucid is also California based, even though they assemble in Arizona.
I usually stop at Dateland. I've had good luck with the EA's and absolutely no issues with the Tesla SC.
Lately I've been using the Tesla SC in El Centro. The configuration of those chargers make 4 out of the 8 easy to use. My last trip through they were full and I just waited for one of the...
Honestly, it's really easy. I go back and forth between Phoenix, San Diego and LA all the time. I use several charging providers. I've only had one issue that was no big deal, just pissed me off at an EVgo site. Added 20 minutes to my drive and kept me from going on one more ride at Disneyland...
Yes, just familiarize yourself with the Nav and the charging filters.
Like @SwampNut says above, use plug share and ABRP pre trip. I also use the Electrify America and Tesla apps when I'm on the road to verify charger availability.
Not all Tesla SC's are available to Rivians and you will need...
For the life of me, I can not understand why the Rivian Nav shows INCOMPATIBLE chargers?
Really sorry to read the above. I learned a similar planning lesson in 2016 when I was driving a model S.
Hope the trip gets better!
$200 - Sale must include swapping unaltered underbody plastic panels pictured. Mine were cut to allow mounting brackets to pass through. These were installed and removed by River Offroad in Phoenix (great guys!)
Shipping is too expensive.
Willing to meet in Quartzite or Yuma to facilitate a...
