  1. Rivian now charging $.68 per kwh

The RAN charger in San Antonio was $0.36 cents in October. I checked today and it is now $0.50 per kWh no peak times listed while the Tesla charger (adapter required but without Tesla membership) less than a mile away is $0.39 per kWh at peak times. I think the original poster has a right to...
  2. Accident caught on rear camera - hit by 16 yo on her phone!

I was thinking more of Gen 1 camera replacement that got us to clear 1080P resolution. There are after market cameras for many other brands of cars that provide better resolution.
  3. Accident caught on rear camera - hit by 16 yo on her phone!

Has anyone looked at the possibility of upgrading the Gen 1 cameras to what would have been available if Covid hadn't limited the supply? If the processing hardware can handle the higher data needs, it should be straightforward to upgrade assuming the software would recognize the signal
  4. Costco and Electrify America partnering for select Costco chargers

Here is the thread where some of us have been discussing the issues and cleaning techniques. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/level-2-charger-problem-to-be-aware-of.31065/page-2#post-706428
  5. Costco and Electrify America partnering for select Costco chargers

Tesla is getting there with more manufacturers having access. I experienced a broken pin and a charging handle/cord laying on the ground in the rain at different Tesla locations this week. I am also cleaning the pins on all Tesla chargers now as a preventative measure to try and reduce the...
  6. Waiting a year and a half now - no "resume" for cruise. Seriously?

Nope. Don't agree with you. I drive another vehicle that has the resume "feature" and I PREFER the way the Rivian is setup. I find the Rivian way new and better.
  7. Waiting a year and a half now - no "resume" for cruise. Seriously?

I actually like the setup. It's easier for me to just re-engage cruise control with the same motion all the time. I prefer the stalk over having a button to engage and a different button to resume. Simplicity wins for me.
  8. System reboot at freeway speed (no disaster)

I had this happen for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I have 32,000 miles on my '22 R1T. Glad this forum was here as I had read others reports and wasn't worried.
  9. Level 2 Charger problem to be aware of

I finally had the opportunity to use my cleaning swabs on two public fast charging locations. I decided to clean a brand new Tesla V4 station's connectors because I had problems with a different station the day before derating to 35kw. I didn't get to use the same station when I went back the...
  10. Rivian EDV Electric Delivery Van Outsells Ford E-Transit in 2024

Thank you. So no other company than Amazon has currently taken delivery although some are testing and some vans may have been ordered for delivery in the next few months.
  11. Rivian EDV Electric Delivery Van Outsells Ford E-Transit in 2024

Has anyone seen any reporting of how many EDVs have been sold to a company other than Amazon?
  12. Driver+/Autonomy cannot be trusted in heavy traffic – just got into an accident with a slow merging truck

This. I am spoiled now and don't want to drive anything but my R1T if the trip is longer than 30 minutes.
  13. Rivian EDV Electric Delivery Van Outsells Ford E-Transit in 2024

I saw that article also and it looks great. The article says Favor is testing the van so they may not have bought any yet. Edited for grammar.
  14. Rivian EDV Electric Delivery Van Outsells Ford E-Transit in 2024

I was thinking the same thing. I would like to see if any have been sold to other companies besides Amazon.
  15. Tire Rack staff is hating on Carver

The other option if you have the room wherever you live is to rotate your own. If you have the full size spare then it's pretty straight forward. I do mine every 5,000 miles. I can rotate mine quicker than taking it to a shop and it gives me the chance to check suspension, brakes, etc.
  16. New RAN stations in Placerville, CA and Cisco, TX are now operational

The Cisco, TX station has been showing in Plugshare with successful charges since Dec 23rd. Seems to be online now.
  17. 2024.47 update - Charging limit not being held when set in truck sometimes

Has anyone else noticed that the charge percentage blinks off and on for a few seconds after changing the percentage in the app. It appears that the app is waking the truck to make the change. If you don't wait for it to stop flashing the change does not stick
  18. New RAN stations on Rivian Charging Map -- CA and TX

    Great location in Columbus. https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/TABS/Search/Print/TABS2021019009
