Q1 2025: New All-Electric Upgrade Offer. Up to $6K USD off

Yes, I don't really see how they move Tri's after the Quad releases unless the delta between pricing is much larger than what has been said/expected on here and from MT's musings. If I have 110k to spend on an insane EV truck, I probably have 125k to make it the best available. As has been said...

Q1 2025: New All-Electric Upgrade Offer. Up to $6K USD off

Where is this? I canā€™t get anything that inexpensive to come up for me with a national search on auto tempest. Iā€™m looking for a used R1S to trade our Tesla in for.

Question on the Rivian Service Kit Air Compressor

Haha, yeah it's a bit tricky - I did see someone on here post a cool holster for the compressor hose that goes in the bed, kind of like a garden hose wheel, which sounds pretty handy if you use it regularly. I used mine for our snow tubes yesterday! Ha.

    The preconditioning myth

Manual preconditioning is not available right now, but many of us have asked for it given the challenges with charging locations in navigation and cold weather in general. Hoping for it in an upcoming update!

    Battery freeze up

Two days in a row here in Maine, overnight temps around -12F, have left unplugged truck outside (it's always outside), without charging it, turned heat on maybe 15min before leaving, no problems driving 30mi+ round trip first thing in the morning when temp is still around -5F. Gen2 R1T Dual...

Q1 2025: New All-Electric Upgrade Offer. Up to $6K USD off

Yeah, Iā€™ve been contemplating trading in our Model Y for an R1S to go with our T, and sales reached out to me today with this offer. But Iā€™m still pretty torn since I can get a pre-owned Quad in Virginia for $10k+ less even with this discount.

Very cold temperature range report - part II - with pics and data!

Was -5F this morning here in Maine, and was still hovering around 2 in my Gen2 R1T Dual driving local highway at 55 for about 25 miles. Battery around 34F.

Weird Charging Curve Drop for 2025 Gen2 R1S (Large)

Agreed, same issue here in Maine with my Gen2 R1T Dual Standard (LFP). Not as extreme, but significant drop-off on L2 at 80%

Super Pacific X1 Camper on 2025 Rivian R1T TriMax

Super cool! Whatā€™s the cost of this setup? Iā€™m still trying to figure out what I want to do for camping and looking at RTT options, etc.

    Canton MA Service Center

Great! Chelsea is slightly closer to me, but as folks have mentioned itā€™s pretty urban industrial without much actual space and getting there isnā€™t fun at all. I hope this provides quicker turnaround and a better experience for all of us New England folks that have been relying on one SC! Sorry...

    Right to Repair

Agree, and yes sorry- was responding to original question but using your rhetorical for context. Iā€™m all for submitting tickets for this same reason. I never call unless they call me first to discuss the service request. Chat in app seems to be faster to get appointments scheduled in my...

    Right to Repair

Did you not text with your SC when you initially took delivery? I use that number and can still get directly to my SC if I have a question that isnā€™t directly related to a service appointment. As Iā€™m 4 hours away, maybe that would work for you since others are saying theyā€™re generally amenable...

Does Level 2 charging have a curve the way Level 3 does?

Same here, but I think itā€™s mentioned in the notes for the new update, at least related to cold weather charging issues- since this is the first really cold month Gen2ā€™s have collectively been through for data to populate.

How long does it take to have your vehicle seen at a service center?

Here in Maine itā€™s been about 4 weeks for mobile to get scheduled, 3 weeks for chelsea SC, but I havenā€™t had any serious issues at all.

    Right to Repair

I have also wondered this, living in Maine where we just passed a state law for the right to repair, and I own both a Rivian and a Tesla here.

US Government to Finalize Billions in Funding for Rivian Before Next Administration Takes Power - Financing expected as soon as Thursday

Loan agreements are typically quite a bit more difficult to get out of than other non-dilutive funding sources at federal agencies. Beyond your typical default, liquidation, etc major issues that would be in any standard lending agreement.

    Introductions & Welcome Thread šŸ‘‹

Welcome! I can answer the first question from my perspective. Yes. The driving experience and quality of the truck are top-notch in my opinion. I bought my Gen2 R1T Dual Standard in September, and already have about 5000 miles on it. I love it, and am strongly considering trading in our Tesla...

    20" AS Spare Option?

Same, I will ask as well. As I put more mileage and go off-roading this coming summer, want to have one.

Looking to trade Model Y LR for R1S

If anyone is interested, I got confirmation from the sales team that VA and FL (only east coast used right now), will allow me to buy and come pick up used, and then register here in Maine after getting temp tags there. Which is great, and lets me know my options as they don't seem to have any...
