Oh of course. To be clear I am waiting for R3, which being smaller than EV6 should achieve at least similar efficiencies assuming the drivetrain and batteries are comparable (smaller car, bigger or equivalent wheels, higher ground clearance)
With the EV6 I get my best mileage in city driving...

Efficiency is one thing I worry about as a prospective owner, so thanks for this great post. I'm now convinced the smaller Rivians will be just fine, higher clearance and bigger wheels and all.

Sadly it also helps manufacturers hit EPA targets because non-cars are held to a laxer standard. Plus for EVs the maximum qualifying price is higher.
My EV6 is basically a wagon but Kia managed to reclassify it as a SUV (the 2022 model that I have is shown on fuel economy.gov as a station wagon!)

Ah, sorry, misread that. I don't think R2 will start production in Georgia - there are production number breakdowns for how the Normal plant can split between R1, RDV and R2 - but yeah I don't think they will really add a fourth type there

- proximity unlock can be turned on and off
- proximity lock was not available prior to model year 2025. Could be available soon, we'll see when the cars arrive
