I forgot to mention something else that happened during the accident. I was on the phone with my husband during the time of impact. My car automatically hung up our phone call (he didn't hear anything he thought the call dropped) and it dialed SOS! I'm pretty sure that the person on the line...

ty! yes the airbags in the front deployed. and the driver door would not open me and my kids got out of the car from the front passenger seat but the door would only open a couple of inches - we had to squeeze through.

the officer said there was no indication that he was under the influence but who knows. either that or he was on his phone 🙃

thank you ❤️ yes I'm so fortunate that we were all properly buckled, and that my baby was in a rear facing car seat. I was driving responsibly and going the speed limit. unfortunately, I could not have prevented the accident.

there's dashcam footage and apparently he crossed 4 lanes of traffic before hitting us..he had plenty of time to stop the car. Seriously ridiculous.

I was probably going around 45-50 According to police, the other car was going way faster. he was driving an old red pickup truck, honestly don't know what exact car it was.

you sound like my husband 😂 but yes the front really absorbed all the impact. and the car is so heavy that I thankfully didn't flip over either. and definitely getting another rivian! thinking of getting it in blue this time

yes according to the police, the driver was going incredibly fast and not looking at the road 🙈 Miraculously, there were no fatalities in any of the other cars. All the other cars were completely totaled though.
