Well done, R1T_Malach! I'm in NoVA as well and took my quad motor Gen 1 R1S with 22s for a spin in the snow for the first time. It handled the snow and hills (all paved streets) well - except one. I tried (twice)to drive up a short, steep, snow-covered hill in snow mode and the R1S just cut...
Arlington Autocare was able to address my issue. There was a nail in the sidewall, so ended up with a new tire. Turns out Arlington Autocare has worked on other Rivians.
Does anyone know where I can get a leak in a 22ā tire fixed in NoVA (preferably someplace relatively close to Arlington)? Iām having a really hard time getting any of the garages/tire shops to do it. Some shops want to put the vehicle on a rack, but canāt lift the 7,000 lb R1S. Others donāt...
I drove through the Breezewood RAN site on June 15, 2023. There hasn't been any progress; it looks the same now as it did in the pictures your posted in January.
It seems like a number of you are able to charge at 200+ kw for an extended period of time. Last weekend, I plugged into an EA 350 kw charger with about a 48% SoC. The charging rate quickly ramped up to 219 kw, much higher than I've previously experienced at either EA or EvGo chargers...
Thanks. I was trying to figure out if the Rivian can draw more than 48 amps and provide more power than 11.5 kW. It can't, so there's no reason for me to buy a level 2 charger that can provide more power.
Does anyone know if the amperage limit for home charging is 48 amps? The amperage setting on my R1S seems to max out at 48, but I may be missing how to increase the amperage above that level. I was thinking about installing a home charger that maxes out at 80 amps, but if the R1S won't take...
Rivian mobile service replaced a defective exterior driver-side door handle (the handle couldn't detect the RFID card or bracelet) today. This was a previously scheduled appointment. The tech checked for the sensor issue that is the subject to the recall. My R1S didn't have any issues. In...
