All but one car* Iāve owned since 2006-ish had automatic windshield wipers, and theyāve all worked this way. I generally leave it on low and am happy, but occasionally the rain or snow is weird in such a way that it reduces visibility more than usual and I turn it up. Rain-sensing wipers are one...
Thatās interesting, because itās not the experience Iāve had at all. I have a multi-day trip coming up with the plan saved in ABRP, so I just pulled it up and manually added an off-route but not terribly so charger as a waypoint (RAN in this case), and it automatically adjusted everything to...
You can still add the charger, though. If you edit your saved destination, you have the option so say it has a charger, and set the speed, which will then be taken into account when if you plan a trip leaving from work or whatever.
I donāt disagree with you at all, but if you think the R1ās turn signal stalk is too crowded, I hope you never have to drive an 80s/90s Chevy! š¤£
The lightning rod charges the flux capacitor, not the battery. Thereās no way a Rivian battery pack could handle the 1.21 jiggawatts of electricity from a bolt of lightning!
I found the same thing, and it surprised me. After I got my R1T, it was months before I got behind the wheel of anything else, and I was a little worried I might have trouble switching back, but I guess 25 years of experience is pretty strongā¦
It definitely takes a little getting used to, but now that I have I absolutely love the one-pedal driving style that it enables. Especially in traffic, where you no longer have to switch your feet between two pedals to safely operate at low speed. Honestly, Iād say itās smoother to drive this...
I disagree on road trips (havenāt tried towing yet). Literally two days after taking delivery of my R1T in Maryland, we drove it to New Mexico. Having never driven an EV before, the first day was pretty nerve wracking worrying about charging, but after that itās been great.
If your concern is...
My R1T dual max can definitely do 250 miles between charges. With a level 2 charger at home, I think this would be fine, though as other have mentioned weather and traffic could change things.
If thereās even just a 15 amp outlet you could plug the travel charger into at your destination, to...
This, I think, is the one real argument in favor of The Software That Shall Not be Named that simply canāt be ignored. Maybe future software updates will address things like navigation for trailering or carrying propane, but in the meantime, weāre presented with software that very much can tell...
Driving around Baltimore this weekend, with the AC blasting in my R1T dual-motor max pack with stock road tires/wheels, I was getting around 3-3.5. On the highway I wasnāt paying as much attention, but I believe it was in the mid to high 2s.
ABRP says 3.13 at 65 mph, pulling data from the truck
This happened to me last week! Putting our dog in the back seat after an outing, we discovered the gear tunnel was unlocked, and protruding further than it does when you simply push the button to unlock it. I hadnāt touched the gear tunnel for at least a couple days, so it possibly was like that...
