I think if you look at the thread "Rivian reliability is a problem" from yesterday's most popular new topics, you will find many complaints following the recent software update. My vehicle is 16 months old with 10,000 with no serious problems til the screens went black while driving 2 days...
I also had the screens go black including the speedometer screen while driving after the update. The system self rebooted after a few seconds....not a good feeling in the dark exiting the freeway.
I had the same experience of all screens going black while exiting the freeway this evening. I was really concerned that I had lost power and was going to be rear ended but as I reached the top of the off ramp the vehicle rebooted the screens without any input from me and I never lost power...
I had the exact same tear in mine when I purchased it 14 months ago. Mobile service just replaced the center console cover 14 months late.....easy and free repair.
I often tell people my R1S is the best vehicle I have ever owned. However, I was extremely irritated to see the misaligned door handles that could not be adjusted when I arrived home. Offering to replace my doors was not a very realistic solution on a 48 hour old vehicle. There remains very...
I am on NEM 2.0 with 12 month true up....mistakenly was charging my car at night rather than 10-1400....ended up with a $1500 true up which is not horrible over 12 most but in the years prior to my Rivian I received $400-$500 credit back at the end of 12 most....now I am using as much power from...
In southern California SoCalEdison buys my electricity at $0.02/ kWh and sells it back to me at $.35 -.$52/ kWh.......I have to charge my car and use as much electricity as possible from 10am-1400 during peak solar panel production to get most out of having the panels.
QA inspections and rectification at the assembly plant needs to really be ramped up.....the same recurring issues could be quickly remedied before becoming an exponential problem for the service centers. Seems like vehicle inspections before shipping are poor or nonexistent.
I also was told that as part of my mobile service tire rotation Rivian would be changing my 12V battery....I have had no issues 10,000 miles delivered Aug 2023
Contact service and describe what happened and include the photo showing the dislodged bolt and make them decide if it is safe to drive to the service center or come pick it up and provide a loaner.
