  1. Estimate of money owed at the end of an R1T Lease - residual value? One more chance to soak the customer?

Learn how leases work before getting into a lease. The residual value is not an end of lease payment ā€¦you do not pay that unless you intend to buy the vehicle at the end of the lease. There is probably a disposition fee (few hundred), excess wear/tear/damage fee, and excess mileage (if you...
  2. Estimate of money owed at the end of an R1T Lease - residual value? One more chance to soak the customer?

You need to research leasing and understand how it works. If you return the vehicle at the end, you do not pay the residual ā€¦itā€™s not a fee ā€¦it what they calculate the vehicle is worth at the end of the lease which in turn is used to calculate your lease payments and the potential buyout payment ā€¦.
  3. Threat to claw back Rivian loan sparks criticism of Musk’s conflict of interest [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Aside from this informational forum being hijacked for political statements, many of you should make at least a minimal effort to understand how the government works before commenting. DOGE is a new advisory board and not an actual government department. They do not and likely will never have...
  4. Brutal Vampire Drain

Something is very wrong with your vehicle. Even with the recently increased drain (likely update software bugs), you should be seeing less than ~2% loss per day (24 hours) with GG on.....make sure you don't have a seat belt buckled and are not unknowingly running HVAC....and submit a service...

  6. How to Precondition the Battery effectively in cold weather Gen 2?

  7. 2024.43 Day/Night lock sound… flipped?

Sameā€¦although itā€™s basically random for me as opposed to simply switchedā€¦.
  8. Hooting Dilemma

I have it set for day/night and apparently they didnā€™t tie it to the screen setting or the actual time because I get the tweet or the hoot completely randomly throughout the day/night when locking ā€¦.
  9. Cruise control not working.

Do a (hard reset). If that doesn't fix it, then submit a service ticket. Skip the soft reset as that is only for infotainment and likely a waste of time for a (potential) driving issue.
  10. Help! Low beams are working intermittently

This is one of those....what do you want help with...submit a service ticket cases.....
  11. 100k car but heater, heated seats and steering does not work

Sameā€¦there is a software bug that requires you to have the rear vents (either upper, lower or both), to get the front to engage warm/hot air.
  12. Todays rivian statement

Stop your cryingā€¦Geez. There was no bait and switch as they were open and honest about their intentions from the start (even if you were ignorant about it). Also, you didnā€™t get any ā€œdiscountā€, you got to take advantage of a poorly timed price increase that was rolled back due to customer...

Itā€™s been public for a few hoursā€¦calm down.
  15. Rivian 2024.43 OTA update coming this week with new features, fixes, improvements, owl hoot lock sound

There is a difference between 1 mile ane 1%. Also ā€œa dayā€ can be a relative term because some people use it to refer to 24 hours and others just overnight or during say
  16. R1S Gen2 Dual standard - 8% phantom drain in 24 hours. Any suggestions?

As others already stated this is not normal. "Normal" right now is about 1%-2% loss in 24 hours (with GG on, less with it off). Make sure the doors are shut and no seatbelt is buckled. Make sure your key fob and phone aren't close enough to activate proximity sensors (thereby keeping the...
  17. Current Thinking - Manual vs. Powered Tonneau Cover

I bought a manual soft cover (for about 1/3 the price) and couldn't be happier with it. It serves the purpose I got it for (keeps rain/snow out), is easy to operate and remains mostly closed. It is extremely unlikely to "malfunction". The one issue I have is that the rails you have to install...
