New warning lights / symbols - what do they mean?

    Now that’s a well-placed ad!

New warning lights / symbols - what do they mean?

Good luck! We’ve got a 2,000 mile drive coming up in a couple weeks, so hopefully they can find a way to get us in

New warning lights / symbols - what do they mean?

Looks like it’s a suspension issue. I just got the same last night, though in a R1T, so the icon’s a little different. I didn’t get turtle mode, though, and was able to continue driving at normal speeds, just without the ability to adjust the ride height or firmness (and it got absurdly firm)...

    Todays rivian statement

    Exactly
Connect+ is not necessary for ‘data access to streaming apps’.

We’ve already got perfectly good words for the pedals that aren’t rendered anachronistic by the transition to EVs!

    Todays rivian statement

You don’t need Connect+ for ‘data access to music streaming apps’, so that is an unreasonable assumption.

    Todays rivian statement

If your car/tv/whatever is connected to your phone’s wifi hotspot, and your phone has data service, your car/tv/whatever also has data. If certain apps decide they want to disable functionality in certain situations, that’s on them and has nothing to do with underlying technology.

    Todays rivian statement

I suppose I wouldn’t entirely put it past Google, but absent Google and/or Rivian intentionally putting in effort to make things more complicated and difficult than they need to be (for both us and them), I am confident in my statement. However it’s branded, casting does not require anything...

    Todays rivian statement

You do not need Connect+ to use Chrome Cast. Never did, never will. Chrome Cast just sends video from your phone to another display. Even if you’re in a cell dead zone, you can use it to play already downloaded content. As with every single other feature enabled by Connect+ (other than priority...

    Todays rivian statement

Because internet connectivity was an absolutely essential feature that had to be built-in from the get go, and also is very reasonable to charge for. (Whether you pay for Connect+ or not, you’re still using the basic functionality when your vehicle reports data back to Rivian, or software...

    Waze Integration Coming?

Or is it the leaderboards and ‘road candy’ that you want from Waze? Literally the first thing I turned off after installing it (otherwise absolutely love Waze, and used it exclusively before I got my R1T).

    Waze Integration Coming?

Yes and no. The primary advantage of Waze is simply that it has more people inputting road hazards and closures, as well as the community map editors. Where it’s routing is different is less to do with a routing algorithm, and more to do with the map editors making different decisions about...

    Waze Integration Coming?

It’s possible that we’re already getting the Waze road condition data through Google. I have definitely noticed an improvement in routing since the Google integration was added. Several times, when I wasn’t convinced of the route the nav was giving me, I checked in Waze and got the exact same...

    Waze Integration Coming?

It’s certainly a possibility. Rivian’s running Android Automotive, which means Waze already has a version of their app that will run on it. The question is if Rivian will allow it, because the version that’s running on my wife’s Volvo is ugly. So maybe, if Google and Rivian can come to an...

PSA: Rivian charges labor for removing running boards or sliders if needed to warranty-service vehicle

What kind of funky motor noise? I’ve recently started noticing some weird spikes in high pitch tones during regenerative braking that weren’t there before, but don’t know if it’s actually a big deal
