    Over the air access

Wow, those quite a bit of an upsell! Up to $30/month! They're clearly looking to make that a source of significant income. I certainly wouldn't pay that much for what little it offers.

    Roof Top Tents

I was looking at the iKamper Mini myself! Looks like the perfect size for the bed of the R1T.

    Canadian EV incentives/pricing/taxes

Incentives: None that I know of. Far too expensive of a vehicle to qualify for any federal or provincial programs that I've found. I'm SUPER jealous of that $7500 USD American federal tax credit! Pricing: I preordered early and was charged $1000 USD, so the configurator shows me all USD...

    R1T and Mountain Biking

Throwing bikes in the bed is one reason why I'm going with the R1T over R1S. My 4runner with a North Shore rack isn't bad, but it could be even easier!

    Launch Edition Interior Badges

I'm not sure I'd put much faith in any of the prototype vehicles being representative of production. Rivian has changed quite a lot since then, some small things (eg. one less steering wheel stalk, flip-out-hook on the back of the seat), and larger things (eg. available number of seats in the...

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! No 400+ battery until Jan. 2022?!?!?!

I was wrong :) 10k option in the configurator. I think that's fair, still just sad it won't be available for some time, but I guess there's the benefit of seeing others iron out the bugs. I'm disappointed there's no perk like free wheel upgrades for us that want the large battery and are willing...

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! No 400+ battery until Jan. 2022?!?!?!

I called it back in Oct: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/rivian-r1t-to-participate-in-the-2020-rebelle-rally-update-6th-place-finish.678/page-3#post-11134 I think either a) design isn't ready b) tech isn't ready, or c) supply issues. I'm calling it now, the 300 miles of claimed...

    Are you excited or dissapointed?

Ditto here. I'm hoping that many people go this route and they run out of 135kWh customers and start the 180kWh deliveries early. The forum poll had 61.5% of people asking for the 400 mile range, but I suppose 40% of 50k preorders is quite a lot of cars to make in the first 6 months, so maybe...

Rivian Launches New Website: Updated Prices, Launch Edition, Timing, Colors and More!

A few more observations that haven't been mentioned yet: The crossbar ports/tie-down locations aren't present on the bed floor anymore: DCFC at 200kW for "sustained periods": R1T wheels (21 inch rims are a new design): vs R1S wheels (the 20 inch are different, maybe these aren't...

Rivian R1T to participate in the 2020 Rebelle Rally [Update: 6th Place Finish]

I'm still half way listening this this, but great so far! Emme mentioned the cables hanging underneath the truck and also complained about them. The engineers assured her they would be gone in the final version.

Front display screen -- sensors and camera view

Would be super neat if there was an IR camera in the suite of sensors. Could be very handy for country roads at dusk/night time to avoid hitting wildlife. Will all the self-driving hardware, it would be pretty easy to do some simple image recognition on top of that too and have an alarm when...

Rivian R1T to participate in the 2020 Rebelle Rally [Update: 6th Place Finish]

Power Innovations promo vid with a few shots of the R1T: Also interesting to note is that it still had those dangling cables we noticed earlier:

R1T accessories & options wish list.

Cold weather has reminded me how much I use my windshield wiper defrosters on my 4runner. Hopefully this comes on the R1T. In an EV where excess heat isn't available for free, I'd think it would be an especially nice feature.

    1-888-RIVIAN1 customer service line opens....

Hopefully the phone number is step 0 in the configurator going live soon :) I'm assuming they'll want to be able to have reservation holders have their questions answered before committing.

Rivian R1T to participate in the 2020 Rebelle Rally [Update: 6th Place Finish]

No spare tires today. I think today is all in the sand dunes so they're just not necessary?

Rivian R1T to participate in the 2020 Rebelle Rally [Update: 6th Place Finish]

Look again, they're now in the middle of the pack, so not too bad considering technical issues :( Results come in live and since it's not a race and teams start at different times, it's hard to tell who's doing the best in the middle of the day.

Rivian R1T to participate in the 2020 Rebelle Rally [Update: 6th Place Finish]

On one of the podcasts, she said the R1T charged at 160kW. Hopefully that was also not accurate information for the final vehicles. I know RJ said in an interview it peaked at 300kW, hopefully that's available from day 1, the 180kWh battery is so large and will take quite a while to charge...

Rivian R1T to participate in the 2020 Rebelle Rally [Update: 6th Place Finish]

175kW charger(s) on the course and an R1T with a 135kWh battery. I'm surprised it's not the 180kWh pack. I now wonder if that isn't yet ready and worry it won't be for 2021 launch.
