Rivian Easter Egg - Steps For Display Screen

So while this is technically true, people should really think twice before getting too emboldened by it. Like many other "technically true" things in law, you also have to think not just about your rights, but how you enforce them and what your remedy is, and who has the leverage. Rivian can...

    R1T and Mountain Biking

It offers to switch to tow mode when you connect a harness, but you can override it easily.

    R1T and Mountain Biking

Any chance you could grab a side-profile pic with the hitch mount & rakattach stowed? I'm trying to get a sense for how much length it adds to the vehicle.

Sizing Up the R1S : Official Rivian Feature. Explore our uncompromising sport utility vehicle from every angle.

I don't want to rain on any parades, but I'd bet pretty heavily against this possibility. I think it comes down to a couple of fans, two main ducts, and controllable shutters at each vent. You can easily toggle any area (not just the two zones) with the shutters, but it seems to me that the...

Sizing Up the R1S : Official Rivian Feature. Explore our uncompromising sport utility vehicle from every angle.

My 80lb Berner will happily leap into my R1T rear seats even in "normal" height, which is about where the tailgate should be. Honestly it's the descent I worry about - for larger breeds the jump can be pretty hard on joints even if they don't seem to mind it. A helping hand or a ramp goes a...

ADAS Advanced Driver Assist Systems Review - Sandy Munro Live

I've had no issues resting my hand anywhere on the wheel and the capacitive sensor is generally quite good. Certainly not "10 and 2." Two seconds seems dramatic but it definitely doesn't like you to let go for more than a short period before a reminder.

    Real Rivian Photos & Videos

Yes the TT-30 had a higher amp rate (it was a 30a plug) and I was getting considerably faster than a normal 120v outlet. Note I was using a Tesla adapter to a Lectron J1772 adapter - I don't have a TT30 pigtail for the Rivian. There wasn't a 14-50 plug here so I can't vouch for that.

Roofnest Condor Overland Roof Top Tent (RTT) + R1T

The two factors that pushed me to the Roofnest are: The all-aluminum shell with the accessory rails so I can add crossbars and mount gear (planning to add some boxes, maxtrax, and a shovel) as well as bikes in a pinch (e.g. when towing). It's a little roomier (especially lengthwise) on the...

Check Your Full Size Spare for the “RIV” stamp

I'm a little confused by this thread - is there any evidence that this is actually something to worry about? Why would Rivian's supply chain have non-Rivian-spec tires in it? Why would service centers have them, let alone install them? Of all the things for customers to worry about, why this?

    180 degree tailgate

Eh. It was cool but I have a hard time getting excited about it as more than a gimmick. Power up would be nice - I don't miss it that much except when someone else closes the tailgate and it doesn't latch all the way. The 180 degree drop seems nice in theory but in practice I don't really care...

Range Anxiety - Is it Real???

This is 100% my concern. I was just in Mt. Vernon last week and 2 of the 4 chargers were completely broken, and one was Chademo only. Fortunately I was able to pounce on the working 350kW CCS station right as a Bolt left - while I was there, multiple other EVs arrived and left without being able...

Roofnest Condor Overland Roof Top Tent (RTT) + R1T

It would certainly be possible - you would probably have to fab something custom (there are a fair number of 90 degree brackets for side extrusions, but you'd probably want something more like a 120 degree bracket). I bet it would like pretty weird when closed though, and it would stick up high...

Roofnest Condor Overland Roof Top Tent (RTT) + R1T

I ratcheted them down until the metal plate curved a bit. Feels plenty tight with no forward or backward play. I'm not concerned, FWIW. Anyway you slice it the tent is held in place laterally by the vertical friction on the bolt (between the plate and the crossbar and between the bolt and the...

Roofnest Condor Overland Roof Top Tent (RTT) + R1T

Yes but that's pretty high - just as high as having it over the cab. Bit of a pain with heavy mountain bikes and it would be a bummer to have nowhere to put them when the tent is open. (And I'd like to use these crossbars for other stuff - recovery boards etc.) Yeah this seems like it may be...

Roofnest Condor Overland Roof Top Tent (RTT) + R1T

I just used the bracket that came with the Condor. I'll grab a close up when I can but you can see the basics in this shot: Seems sturdy enough but I'd like to do something more robust eventually. These look interesting but I haven't had a chance to measure the R1T crossbars for a fit: RTT...

Roofnest Condor Overland Roof Top Tent (RTT) + R1T

For folks who may be interested, I got my Condor Overland installed on the R1T and went for my first camping trip up on Orcas Island over the weekend. I'm still on a broken ankle so while I'm cleared to drive, I'm not super mobile outside the truck, so I only grabbed a few pictures, but thought...

    Aftermarket Truck Bed Extender?

Also not clear on the compliance issue... but on the recommendation of @drhnbtx, I grabbed one of these: Sheett – Loadd USA. Seems like a good solution for your longboards or similar items, pending a proper bed extender (a cab-height rack would also do the trick, I imagine...
