  1. Rivian R1T - One Week In Review: Summary: I love this truck, driving it makes me happy.

Since a lot of what I read in the forums was freaking me out before I took delivery, I figured I'd write up a quick summary of what I have experienced in the first week of Rivian R1T ownership. I am also new to EV ownership. Before delivery: I ordered the wall charger and it showed up 3 days...
  2. 🥊 My F-150 Lightning Arrived! Comparison & Opinions Quick Take vs my R1T

How do you play the audio you used to formulate this opinion? Spotify? Bluetooth Streaming?
  3. My thoughts, two weeks into R1T ownership...

Maybe can't "see" it but I wonder if it contributes to the wind noise that is evident over 65mph. I have to go outside and look at mine now.
  4. My One-Month Real World R1T Owner Review: This Thing is Amazing

I was zipping along to work today at about 70 mph and heard that wind noise. To me it sounded like the top side of the windshield. Perhaps the gap between the body and roof glass that someone else had noted. My tonneau cover also broke the second time I opened and closed it, actually at the...
  5. A/C Performance

Mine has been decent in 85-90 degree heat here in the East. I'm pretty tall and it can get a little toasty up top by my head and the center vents don't do a great job of cooling the tip top of the cabin as well as center body when angled all the way up. There is no control I can find for the...
  6. Tonneau cover issues

Got my Rivian today (Yay!). Tonneau cover broke on second cycle of opening and closing. When I say broke, in this case, it will not close completely. Goes to the end and leaves about a 1.5 inch gap. At least due to this thread, I was prepared for it to be broken in advance.
  7. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

Do you remember how long after you saw the vehicleid populated that the 8 step process became available for you?
  8. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

Steps for fulfillmentSummaryStatus progression related to the vehicle provisioning might be: 1. null 2. SELECTED_FOR_FULFILLMENT 3. PENDING_FULFILLMENT (vehicleid assigned) 4. READY_FOR_FULFILLMENT 5. VEHICLE_DELIVERED 6. FULFILLED Couple customer related ones in there too...
  9. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

Looking into the code a bit it looks like the right object to inspect is a JSON object return to a graphql request. If inspecting the code of the page, it might have already been processed by the rendering component but you do see the request/response on the wire if you inspect the network...
  10. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

NM, found it in various responses by searching for "configurationStatus". SOFT_LOCKED but I have no fulfillmentSummaryStatus so it would appear that having that field populated as SELECTED_FOR_FULFILLMENT or PENDING_FULFILLMENT would put you farther down the workflow toward delivery.
  11. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

Where in the response is that located? In the HTML or some javascript?
  12. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

I'm in the March/April window theoretically. Haven't been contacted by a guide but my configuration now shows as "locked". Anyone who has taken delivery have an idea about how long it took from config lock to delivery?
  13. RIVIAN STOCK

Billion dollar revenue writeoff for customer goodwill I think should be characterized as more than a "little glitch". I applaud the decision, but I worry about the financial impacts and long term viability. I would have accepted a more informational message about supply chain costs, 50% of the...
  14. Rivian Needs a No Re-Sale Clause Now

Why not let someone turn around and sell their 75k truck for 150k, pay the capital gains tax, and be happy? Those are market forces at work. Once you own something, it seems a bit heavy handed to try to legally enforce what a person can and cannot do with their bought and paid for property.
  15. Tick Tick Tick...

Before I read up on MIIR, had to focus on my day job for a bit so I could earn the incremental bread for a Lucid Gravity in the event Rivian doesn't come through.
  16. Tick Tick Tick...

Miir's mission statement? To be completely transparent, I haven't looked into the company at all but from the only product I own under their brand, the mission statement appears to be, "Import knockoff YETI's from China and sell them at even more of a markup." Good business if you can do it at...
  17. Tick Tick Tick...

This is what I'm talking about with their main source of revenue, Rivian Mugs. Why put your brand on a crappy mug that no one who has ever camped in truly cold weather would use (handle too small for thick gloves)?: Cost of Rivian Mug $35 Cost of YETI Tumbler $25 Place of manufacture - both...
  18. Tick Tick Tick...

You know I bought one of their coffee mugs a while back and even that gave me concern. It was a knockoff of a YETI type mug at a YETI price but without YETI quality. If you are supposed to be building a premium, outdoor adventure vehicle, why put your brand on a low quality, knockoff mug...
  19. Tick Tick Tick...

True that. However the performance of his team has led to this and likely other forums for any scraps of information so he may not have experienced a similar community in his previous role as CEO of Vernon Francois Haircare. I highly doubt there was a years long line of 40,000+ people willing...
  20. Tick Tick Tick...

I joined this forum because I am also getting annoyed at the lack of communication and it was nice to have a community of aggrieved people to commiserate with. I'm scratching my chin this morning and thinking about how we might escape the circular discussions and turn this energy into action...
