Good points. Also notable is that the company that raised the issue of their non-drivable Nikola One has a significant short position on their stock - so any negatives they can raise about Nikola helps them.
Yes - but it speaks volumes about their leader and corporate mentality. I’m just saying I won’t be giving them my money for any vehicle they make. And their Badger wasn’t bought by GM; GM just purchased 11% of the company.
Looks like I made the right decision in canceling my preorder for the Badger - Nikola today admitted that their Nikola One semi shown in a promotional video was rolling down a hill and not under its own power...
I’ve been counting on picking up my R1T at the factory ever since I placed my order - and was hoping they would include a factory tour! It’s an 8-1/2 hour drive back to my place in Oklahoma; easy one day drive if I didn’t stop for sightseeing along the way. Which I probably would.
I have a couple of wants/wishes:
1.) Sentry mode a la Tesla to use the existing cameras on the Rivian as dash cams to record everything while driving and monitor & record activity around the vehicle when parked.
2.) Lockable, secure storage compartment for the center console. Aftermarket...
You need to check into the upcoming Lordstown Endurance BEV pickup - it’s designed to be more of a utilitarian vehicle, and thus might be lacking some of the bells and whistles in which you’re not interested. I disagree with your statement that a long bed is a requirement for a camper shell - I...
I kind of wish you hadn’t posted that reveal video - 700 miles per tank with the new 3.5 Hybrid engine; wireless CarPlay; and free Sync 4 connectivity with OTA updates will just make it that much harder to wait on both the actual R1T and detailed info on its options and features.
I have their app which shows pricing - they're at $12.60/hr for both CCS1 and CHAdeMO and $1.25/hr for J1772 at stations near me. Not having ever owned an EV I have no idea if this pricing is good or bad?
Placed my pre-order for the R1T yesterday. I'm in Oklahoma; I'm expecting to fly to Normal for delivery. Well, even if Rivian comes up with a dealership near me I'll still probably opt for factory delivery.
