GM's Mary Barra Pressed To Acknowledge Tesla, Avoids And Refuses

Wow man. You got a lot of hate in your heart :). But it’s all preference I guess.

GM's Mary Barra Pressed To Acknowledge Tesla, Avoids And Refuses

Yeah the claim they have EV leadership is questionable If that is what this is about. I suspect within the next 5 years GM will have plenty of viable EVs. I would buy a yet to be announced Silverado EV before the F150 Lightning all day (as of now prefer the Rivian though) but I am not a Ford...

GM's Mary Barra Pressed To Acknowledge Tesla, Avoids And Refuses

I don't understand all the hate on GM? Yeah they didn't have any EVs at the auto show but also GMC and Cadillac didn't have any presence. Did they want to see the Bolt EUV or whatever, probably didn't want it inside in case it caught on fire.. joking aside this reporter kind of sounds like a...

    CarPlay?

What you are describing would get Amazon in a lot of trouble with the SEC. Example: Windows/Apple giving preference to Google search.

Doug DeMuro: Rivian R1T OFF-ROAD: The Good and The Bad

For what its worth on the TPMS sensors. The sensors at each wheel will absolutely be able to give the tire pressure at that tire, whether the software displays it is another matter all together. As an example my ProMaster has individual TPMS sensors in each wheel but the factory computer just...

What are you sacrificing to stay below the $80,000 tax break threshold?

If you look at window stickers from different manufacturers they will all calculate MSRP differently. Some will include destination, others won’t. That is the issue there is no traditional definition of MSRP so interpret what you will. Obviously though any options you can buy in the gear shop...

The union provision won’t pass since Manchin doesn’t like it. Toyota factories in WV.

Yeah do we have a number on the lightning yet? Silverado EV may also compete, both will be larger trucks.

📬 Rivian Sends Delivery Window E-Mail. What’s Your Dates? => Vote in Poll!

I guess Rivian’s record as the least efficient EV tested will be short lived.

What are you sacrificing to stay below the $80,000 tax break threshold?

Well maybe 1800 is tight for wheels/rims if you include installation costs but it isn't far off. The Pirelli Scorpians are around $213/ea for example in 275/60R20. I can find some nice alloy wheels for a $1000 all day.

📬 Rivian Sends Delivery Window E-Mail. What’s Your Dates? => Vote in Poll!

No worries, just my suggestions. More about ease analyzing the data than whether different locations in a state matter or LE vs non-LE options. People will enter ambiguous locations and it will be hard to interpret better than the state anyway, for example I am pretty sure the person who did...

📬 Rivian Sends Delivery Window E-Mail. What’s Your Dates? => Vote in Poll!

My suggestions: Make location just state Make preorder date month/year Remove non-LE options for now I think that will make it easier to understand the data

The email says non-LE holders will get an estimate by year end.

What are you sacrificing to stay below the $80,000 tax break threshold?

At $1700-$3500 upgrade cost I guarantee that Rivian is not giving you ‘credit’ for the value of the stock 21” wheals/tires.
  18. jjswan33

What are you sacrificing to stay below the $80,000 tax break threshold?

That’s a strong argument for the soft cap on MSRP as others have advocated in different threads. The hard cap will short term impact buyers preference and long term lead the manufacturers to make sacrifices to stay under the cap.

8 business days until Thanksgiving… are LE preorder holders getting contacted by our guides?

    <sarcasm> Wouldn’t that make them insiders then… guide contact doesn’t count </sarcasm>
