Is the pre-order even transferable to another buyer or are people willing to pay taxes twice? )Pre order holder buys and pays taxes then sells to person willing to pay ADM for a now user vehicle and also has to pay taxes…)
Yes, I agree with you. I feel like the R1T is just a slightly bigger and much nicer Tacoma.
Under seat storage is just for a slim box of tissues, some band aids and a banana I think.
I was disappointed by the fact that it’s not roomier and that’s why I didn’t cancel my Raptor order(s)...
@slider2828 there are videos of grown men in it (and I saw a few people doing it at the Sonoma event - no, it wasn’t me…).
I do have a smaller family than yours (3, no dog) so that might be why I consider the frunk big enough.
And for the tailgate, the best might be to do 2 trips rather than...
I’m not agreeing on the frunk being small. Bigger than my 911 and much bigger than my M3P. You can fit a human being in it and I could easily fit a whole week of groceries in there - maybe we need to eat more ;)
As for the tailgate, I also disagree. I found it rather easy to close with one...
I guess that gap is filled by the model X…
I’m one of the ones considering both. CT and R1T. Technically I’m cross shopping it with the Raptor as well (got an old preorder for R1T, recent for CT, and 2 orders for a Raptor).
Not planning on putting any lumber of any sort in this truck - might be in the wrong line of work for that - but a window that goes down like on the Tundra would have been cool (yes, yes, packaging issues).
In reality, the rear window is very small from inside and could not accommodate a...
I wasn’t ready to do that and I’m happy I did the extremely short test drive on terrain that doesn’t represent in any way where we’d drive it 95% of the time.
That being said I could have lived with just getting to sit in it to get a feel for the space, layout and materials.
It’s a nice vehicle...
Did you really want to get a call on Thanksgiving telling you you’ll have to wait a few more months? I think Rivian’s mention of Thanksgiving always meant end of November. In hindsight, they should have picked a day that’s not a nationwide day off.
Using 20-80%, we’d still be looking at 170 miles.
10-90% would be 226.
On road is one thing but off-road (real off-road stuff not like dirt trails) would impact range even more. Better not get lost in the Mojave desert ;) and yes I’m being a little dramatic about it.
i was going to add that you...
Went back to Sonoma first mile event to get a better look (no test drive this time).
Sat in yellow with ocean interior (among others) and paid attention to values displayed.
All purpose mode (weird name by the way).
71% battery charge
162 miles range left
20” AT tires
A fully charged battery...
Spoke, face to face, 2 weekends in a row now, with Rivian employees at Sonoma First Mile event. They all said the same thing: configuration, area I live in and (of lesser importance) when I ordered.
One also mentioned that getting/switching to the max pack would push things back by potentially a...
