    I drive by that Dealership on my way to and from work every day as well. My understanding is that SA is getting one next year, which likely means the location is set but I'm not sure exactly where it will be if that information is available.

    Yeah I think they could reduce the pressure to do holiday modes by just unlocking the functionality that we already know exist like custom unlock/lock sounds and RGBW accent lighting inside. I wouldn't even mind if it's all paywalled, just open it up.

    As it was explained to me, they put out the roster for volunteers and it fills up in minutes. About 45 people total in 1 hour shifts throughout the day. The guy I know has like 6am-7am MT on the 24th.

    I'm very curious why you think there's no way R2 will be $40k? Based on scale, improved process, and in house components I think it's very feasible and it's a huge part of their strategy to build towards a million+ vehicles per year.     To my eye it appeared that the Rivian driver was also slow on the drop, which could have been incidental or intentional. They could have done 4 takes of this and only kept the one that made the CT look best. Until someone like Kyle gets his hands on one and can do some real testing, I'll take...

    Watching the MB video it is clear that there are things that he has identified as serious issues that he is dancing around to avoid angering Tesla for future access. Most of them have to do with practicality but some are safety issues as well (sharp corners, inability to see in front of him)...
