Maybe we all need to hound Rivian to complete Colorado deliveries before Dec 31, 2021 when the Colorado EV tax credit drops another $1,500
edit: actually it already dropped on Jan 1, 2021, I just can’t read my years right
They have all of the clearances to sell. R1Ts are rolling off the production line. They've done the press event for the media. We're seeing R1Ts on trailer trucks. I don't see any reason why they can't deliver today.
They reportedly are only delivering 100 this month. May not be...
I'm not sure we are getting L3 at any of the service centers, at least not right away. The electrical permit at Steele street:
L3 CHARGING CABINET NOTE: PROVIDE ROUGH-IN ONLY FOR FUTURE L3 POWER CABINET
I love everyone digging into the potential charging curves, which I will happily read and act like I fully understand.
I thought this quote by Motor Trend was a big f statement from a legacy car outlet:
Also, did you all miss the SOON they dropped in the headline?
We used to do this:
Fair warning. Many of the information in that thread is now out of date.
Your best source of FACTS is likely the Rivian website
Not sure why people are expecting the subscription price at this point. They are offering everyone a free year. Rivian will have a year to look at data on how people are using the features and their various costs before announcing the subscription price.
My post wasn’t meant to be taken seriously.
I agree they are prioritizing deliveries around completed service centers. I’ve been providing updates on the Denver service center since February because it’s less than a mile from me.
Also, please ignore, but wanted to add in the proverbial gripe that they are showcasing the R1Ts for the media in Colorado, but still no word on deliveries to customers in Colorado or a First Drive event in Colorado. Way to use Colorado as a prop while contacting customers in LA and NYC for...
Setting aside the existence of price caps, setting caps that are based on Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price is a huge boondoggle.
Nobody pays MSRP. MSRP is not a real price, and already includes a profit margin for the dealership. In normal times, the vehicle should be purchased under...
Multiple issues with EA Chargers. [Hopefully they just need to work out the bugs on the handshake between EA and Rivian vehicles]
Also, sounds like their Dodge TRX "support" vehicle had some issues, and had to get bailed out by the R1T at least once.
This is not the R1T that Motor Trend drove. This is the second R1T that was driven by the Rivian engineer. You can see that the the UI is a little different, including a "Camera" button where the Motor Trend one had a "phone" icon.
I suspect the UI is still getting tweaked up until launch.
