  1. Colorado Checking In

August 2019 for me. I was over that way Sunday and did a drive by. Obviously being a Sunday on a holiday weekend there was no activity, from the outside you really can't tell much but hopefully they're making good progress.
  2. Motor Trend Review: The 2022 Rivian R1T Is the Most Remarkable Pickup We’ve Ever Driven

Doesn't the S still have the wiper controls on a stalk to the left of the steering column? While I do think the auto sensing feature on my Model3 was worse than most cars I've owned (IIRC Tesla decided to use the cameras to regulate wiping frequency instead of a true sensor), the biggest...
  3. Motor Trend Review: The 2022 Rivian R1T Is the Most Remarkable Pickup We’ve Ever Driven

Thanks, hopefully that's still the case. On a positive note there doesn't seem to be any icons for wipers in the images of the screens.
  4. Motor Trend Review: The 2022 Rivian R1T Is the Most Remarkable Pickup We’ve Ever Driven

Have they said (or perhaps @DuckTruck or someone who attended the event will know) how the wipers will be controlled? As a former Tesla owner I hated the controls being in the screen, especially since the rain sensing feature was basically useless and all changes to wiper speed required...
  5. Answers & info from lunch w/ Rivian's Sr. Director of Customer Engagement Center

I've been wondering about this as well. Given the logistics that go into these I would have to think that if they are really happening in September they know the dates, times, etc. I know there's still 6 weeks before the end of September but as you mention several of us would travel to these...
  6. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities

Thanks for the update and context! November would certainly be great.
  7. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities

Thanks for the update, I've been meaning to make my way by there again but haven't yet. At this pace it seems reasonable that it will be the end of the year at best before they would be in a position to open and start deliveries here.
  8. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities

Thanks for taking time to find these. I looked at the job postings today and 2 positions are no longer posted so hopefully that's a sign of more progress.
  9. RJ Scaringe: first Rivian R1T deliveries delayed from July 2021 until September

It didn't have anything to do with the fact it was an EV. In fact I bought the Model3 to see how an EV would work for trips, etc. The Model3 certainly did its job in proving that an EV is what I prefer and charging isn't really an issue (granted the Supercharger network helped with that but...
  10. Delay Placeholder Vehicles

Colorado here as well. I had a Model3 that was "OK" but certainly didn't go all the places I wanted to go in the mountains so I traded for a 2022 Defender 90 P400. I miss having an EV but I love the Defender and am glad I can go wherever I want again.
  11. RJ Scaringe: first Rivian R1T deliveries delayed from July 2021 until September

This is what I did a couple of weeks ago (except I got the Defender instead of a truck). The Model3 was great at showing me the EV world is for me, but it didn't fit my lifestyle and I wasn't going through another winter with it.
  12. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities

Thanks for sharing all the pictures from the Denver service center! Glad to see some work occurring, every time I've been by there it's either been closed or I didn't feel comfortable walking up with all the workers there.
  13. More Guide Contacts Trickling in...

, Well said. In addition to pre-order holders I have several friends and family who have heard me talk about my Rivian for almost 2 years now. I constantly get asked "do you have your electric truck yet?" and even though I remain positive in my answers, even they are losing interest and it's...
  14. Max Pack range coming......I know, I know....soon?

They also stuck with June deliveries right up until the May 27th email where they announced/buried a one month delay in a larger announcement. I get delays happen and are inevitable with a launch like this, what I don't get is why their communication strategy is so poor.
  15. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities

I had to take family to the airport yesterday and on my way back home stopped by the Denver location. It looks like they've started tearing up the parking lot on the east side of the building (where the Rivian service center will be going in). My very uneducated guess is this work relates to...
  16. Rivian Service Centers / Retail Locations List / Other Facilities

I haven't had a chance to go by the Denver location in a couple of weeks to check progress, however on a positive note it stands to reason that once the SC is operational we'll see deliveries in the area. There's no point in having an SC if you aren't delivering and servicing vehicles...
  17. Several Concerns

I'm of the same. mindset as those who have replied to my comment The delays aren't unexpected and are part of any type of mass launch on something of this magnitude. Like many others I'm only disappointed with Rivian's communication strategy around the timelines, but my disappointment isn't...
  18. Several Concerns

What concerns me is that even those who are "OK" with the delays aren't bullish on Rivian's timelines. I'd feel better if those who are still strong supporters were being vocal that they have faith in the current timelines.
  19. RAN Charging Stations Map via Google Maps

For Colorado Rivian has announced they will be installing chargers in all 44 state parks. As others have noted, those are likely to be L2 chargers designed to charge while you're out hiking, etc.
