Went exploring immediately after getting my truck back from Rivian. My 21's tread were getting low so it was nice to get some fresh shoes installed. Thankfully I know of a spot where I can get some dirt on the tires and not have to push it too hard. Enjoy some of the pics from my exploring.

We took delivery of our R1S yesterday at the Orlando service center. The staff were great but they could definitely do with a bit more space immediately outside for deliveries.

Selected a build that was the same as mine (El Cap vs White) - 9 Aug 2023
Pick up - 9 September 2023

First impressions.

The Good

• How did a little car company build this so well. Build quality is up there with BMW and Mercedes. Just quality.
• Drive dynamics. Amazing for such a heavy car. Acceleration, shocking in a good way.
• Interior is just gorgeous

Not so good.

• The glass panoramic roof looks cool. But it’s hot down here (FL). Need to put ceramic tint up there.
• For a $100k car, should have privacy/ sun shades in the back.
• One of my tail lights had condensation/water in it on delivery. They will fix it in but should not have had me catch it.
• Top of Tailgate is bowed in so the alignment is off quite a lot from the roof.

The I will see part:

• How much will I miss apple CarPlay? The navigation is v good, and screen v responsive and not missing it today.
• And Sirius XM. Kids like it. I could not care a less. But the Rivian has built in Spotify which I like.

Super excited to spend more time in the seat.

Here is my 2023 R1S that I took delivery a few months back but just informed about this El Cap Granite thread, lol!
I too have a few issues with the vehicle, mainly alignments; the rear passenger side door doesn't sit flush when closed, my dash is not properly sitted in place and/or warped with occasional rattling noise. The roof top's thin plastic trim pieces seem warped. The rear passenger side exterior satin trim piece is protruding more than the left. The upper tailgate on the passenger side is slightly misaligned. There were a lot of adhesive splattered all over the 3rd row windows which I removed. All in all, she is in

much better shape than my 2022 R1T! So, definitely, Rivian's quality control has improved by a lot.

with satin black powdercoated 21's. love it. chrome delete is next.

These look great! Basically best bang for buck 22 sport dark, they look so similar when the 21 wheels are blacked out either vinyl for $100 or powder coat what $500? Your came out great. I'm going to stick to the sport 22 dark and overpay only because there are no tire replacement options besides oem. Literally ZERO! U did great though. (Ive been arguing with myself as I hate to pay 3500 for the 22's . With the 22 there are Michelin defenders that guarantee 70k miles and with the torque of these electrics , they eat tires , this is import at

Newly received 2023 El Cap R1S after stealth wrap and chrome delete. I LOVE it!!

This looks amazing, is stealth wrap ppf or clear, or is it a matte dark grey over the el cap? Looks great

I also installed the HeatShield full vehicle shades that covers all the glasses; roof and all. It decreases the interior temperature by as much as 20 degrees in a hot Texas summer day
