Door Sill/Rocker Panel Protection

There is a good 2-3" of bare painted metal on the bottom of the door frame before the Rivian logo'd plastic covers. I've already gotten a small paint scratch on this area from someone getting into the truck with a small pebble stuck to their shoe. People end up using this area of the door sill as a step since the truck is fairly high up to get into for average height and below folks.

PPF won't be thick/tough enough.

Has anyone see a sill protector made for our Rivian yet?

This was one of the first things I noticed on my truck. When it was in to have other PPF applied I had them do this area also. I figured it was at least some protection untill something better becomes available.

I bought some 3m non slip rubber with an adhesive backing off amazon and cut to fit the rockers. It's been on my truck for 10 months now w/o any issues.

I don’t really know, but this looks super similar to the Xpel product. I used 1 roll on my R1T and it’s been perfect.

I used these on mine, liked the idea of a non slip texture. Easy to apply, and, so far so good

As much as the water bottle looks carefully placed in the photo, it had hot water in it so I could wipe and warm the frame prior to applying.

$150 is way too much for those. I'm in the metal industry and can tell you they are 10x what it costs to make them. Also, DCE likes to advertise on every product they sell - you don't get anything in return.....
