PSA don’t drop anything between the seat and console

Dropped a quarter down there second week I had the truck… sliding left and right down there for a week before I was able to get an appt with the SC

I believe it was fully back when I took the picture. I moved the seat every way I could to try to get to the fob. The carpet looked like it was the floor, but there is a slit in the carpet and if you push down then there's a cavern below it, which is where the fob dropped into. Not a great design, imo.

someone else preivously posted about dropping some coins and one of them got under the carpet. maybe from that same opening where your fob went. anyway, he said it was sliding around constantly as he drive and eventually took it in and had the seat and carpet removed just to get the coin out. yikes.

Yep. That’s why I hoofed it to Home Depot to buy some wire to immediately fish the fob out. I had the backup rfid card with me so I was able to lock/unlock the truck. I could have driven home, but I didnt want the fob to shift positions. If it had moved I would have needed to remove the seat. But as it was, I was able to easily retrieve it once I had the wire.

They arrived and I installed. They really don’t want to fit, as the seat molding around and behind the belt latch is obstructed. You must lower the seat all the way and move it back as far as you can go. Pictures attached.

I lost a penny down there and it will never again be found until the truck is a rusting heap in a dump somewhere. Lucky for me I can't ever hear it sliding around. If I could I'd probably lose my mind lol.

Maybe keep a pair of long reach compound joint pliers in the glove box

Regular cloth gloves, size men's medium. Wad them up and stuff them in. Pretty sure the only gloves I own that wouldn't fit in there are my armored motorcycle gloves, simply because I can't condense them much due to the armor on the knuckles.

EDIT: My work gloves fit in there too but I don't keep them there. They aren't super heavy duty thick though - I doubt the thickest work gloves could get stuffed in there well.

Dude I've had cars with holes in the floor pan that went to outside. Try getting snow in your car through the floor once if this seems like an end of the world issue
