I agree very reliable app. You can set alerts for open, close, and left open. It works over internet so can open and close from anywhere. They also have a unit you can purchase to use with other or older garage door openers.

I agree very reliable app. You can set alerts for open, close, and left open. It works over internet so can open and close from anywhere. They also have a unit you can purchase to use with other or older garage door openers.

Annoyingly it does not generate an alert when a fault is generated, such as when "excessive force" is detected (which could be a calibration issue or something under the door keeping it from closing).

I've been using the Meross unit for a few years now with no issues. Worked great with an older opener and also work once I went from chain drive to belt drive units for lower noise. They offer the open/ close / door reminders for $22.00 on Amazon.

Forgot to mention, it works with Alexa and Homekit.. so at least with Alexa, it might be as easy as a voice command with the Rivian.

I use this and it has worked very well, Amazon Key as well....simple App, very few issues......I'd absolutely prefer a Garage Door Software feature on the Rivian or even an OG button....

It’s a 3M command hook adhesive. I’ve put it where you won’t ever see it, but it’s easy to reach.

Good short term solution-thanks. However, I can see why this photo wouldn’t make the cut for a $138,000 Cars and Bids Auction

Curious, what type of issues did you have with it? I installed it a few years ago and it works well for me. For reference, my garage door openers are Liftmaster/Chamberlain and were "MyQ Ready" out of the box. I added the MyQ internet gateway.

I just installed a Genie garage door opener that had Aladdin Connect built in, so it is compatible with Alexa. I have tried it with Alexa a few times and it works really well, so I'm assuming it should work just fine with the Rivian once I ever get it.
