Youngstown is a good location being an hour from Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Akron, canton and Erie. I wonder if Rivian will select Binghampton for NE Pa and Wilmington for SE Pa. One day PA will hopefully allow Rivian facilities.

Yep, it’s in Olathe, right off I-35 and Santa Fe (135th St).

The area is older, kind of run down but it has been rehabilitated in the last 5-10 years with new buildings (like the one Rivian is in) that are part warehouse/part storefront. The matching building next to Rivian is an indoor soccer field.

Stopped by the Boston location this morning. Looks like they have a few more weeks of work to do.
I wonder if this will delay deliveries into New England?

Went by the Costa Mesa, CA service center today on Briggs Ave. I did not see any R1 vehicles but it is a pretty large building so there could be some inside. There were 3 ramp trucks in the back and they look like they are ready for business.

My guide, who told me to expect delivery within a few weeks said I will be taking delivery from el Segundo as the Costa Mesa location is not yet operational. I live maybe 8 mins away from the Costa Mesa location

Just got off the phone with my guide. I did not previously where the closest Service Center was, but she told me the Rivian facility in Plymouth is a Service Center, and my R1T is there now!

Working through the final steps of the purchase process - hope to get delivery scheduled s00n!

Looks like the permit process just started last month:

Drove by and there are 11 48A chargers, but not much else. As I walked up to the door a security guard came out and chatted with me... saying he couldn't tell me anything, even after I found his wallet on the ground outside.
