They need to go back and edit the article, this sentence is not accurate

I don't think they can edit after a few days but I can pass it on to Dan. Detail minutia won't degrade the overall endorsement.

Yes that is sorta the whole point of manipulating the EPA range numbers like this, isn't it? Rivian knows that most auto jounalists will uncritically repeat the BS and most customers will think all EVs significantly underperform their numbers.

Yes, for sure, I hear you.

However, there will be another 3rd party test at some point who will get much better results with the R2 so in general take all of these results with a grain of salt. Rivian followed the rules to get their number, the problem lies within the EPA. It's like complaining billionaires hardly pay their fair share of taxes yet they are simply taking every legal tax loophole they can, the rules need to change at the top.
