Back when I was a young lad in 2023, I picked up my R1. The plate "holder" was in the frunk. I saw it as a "don't ask-dont tell" move. I've been meaning to install it and will get to it one day. I've been meaning to do that on my other cars too.

There is a "stick on" plate. Not sure if that's legal in all states.

Anyone install a front plate frame yet? I know there is the Snap Plate

I like this one, just not sure if anyone has installed this one yet.
Hey @EVBASE - online you mention: "【Doesn't Block Cameras or Sensors Designed to position the front license plate without interfering with the front camera, parking sensors, or airflow, allowing all factory safety features to function as intended."

Does it shadow the top-down view at all?

I know this is an R2 thread but...On my R1S I worried about the factory mount obstructing the view a bit. It does. But, it actually provides a useful reference point when I'm pulling into my garage and parking spaces with an obstruction at the end. Just sayin'

Any update on front plate holder options? How do people like the EV Base design? I pick up my R2 in two days. The front plate is going in the frunk for the ride home, but NH police are sticklers for this kind of thing, so I need some sort of bracket/holder that won't put holes in the front of the bumper and won't block anything.

Try this: https://everyamp.com/products/snapplate-license-plate-mount-rivian-r2
They even have pictures of the camera view at the different levels.

My plan in Texas is to ride without the front plate as long as I can (they don't seem to really care based on the number of cars at work without front plates, but if I get stopped for something else it may come up). If I need to, I'll probably get the SnapPlate for a centered look.

Here are the 3 options I've found so far:

I'm leaning towards the tow hook mount or snap plate, but I gotta tell you, paying that much for a license plate mount really stings...

If you have a 3d printer there are a couple of tow hook holder designs on makerworld and other repositories. Prolly only about $1.00 worth of filament to print.

Yep, I have a Bambu but I primarily have/use PLA which wouldn't be good for this use case, so I would probably have to buy some PETG or ASA. That being said, I think a commercial version might be stronger - last thing I would want would be for my plate to fall off over time.

I went with SnapPlate because of my lazy predilection to use car washes and wanted something easy to take off/put back on FWTW.

Car washes - you bring up a good point. That's definitely an advantage of the snap plate. Also, I tend to like symmetry, so I think over time the tow hook mount could annoy me, LOL.

Appreciate your feedback.

I liked the look of the ev sport line one, no idea if it's any good though.

That's actually the one I was originally leaning towards, but I decided to not spend any money with EV Sportline for reasons I will not get into here. @Mos Eisley did bring up a good point regarding car washes - I would be afraid that the tow hook mount might have issues going through car washes, etc.
