R1S - Sirius won't work unless in Park

Wondering if anyone else out there is having this issue. I just started a few months ago in our Launch R1S. Sirius gives a message on screen that says "Put In Park To Use Sirius". I can hear whatever channel it was on when driving, but can't change it or see any of the icons. Tried all the obvious - logging out and in, entertainment reset, soft reset. It doesn't seem to have been caused by a software update. Sirius says it's Rivian, Rivian says it's Sirius.

Any ideas?

I've not seen any issue like this with Sirius. Mine works fine.

Rivian Assistant has detected excessive bopping/headbanging in the cabin, and has disabled Sirius while driving, for liability reasons your safety.

This happened to me on the R1T i picked up last weekend, I assumed it was due to not having ownership transferred to me and Sirius was running on a trial. It actually affected all 3 party services (Apple, Spotify). Once the transfer completed and I logged into Sirius it stopped doing it.

I've logged in and out of Sirius, even spoke to their high level tech support. It's obviously something on Rivian's end.

Did you do an infotainment reboot?

Multiple times. Hard reboot, soft reboot, there have even been like 3 updates since it happened. Nothing. I have a service scheduled for next week.

I had this issue when I first transferred my subscription from another car. Had a few long calls with Sirius that were unsuccessful. Randomly a couple months later it started working fine.

Another odd thing my kids figured out is you can change the station using the rear screen while driving, when the front screen is locked out. The rear screen doesn’t show the arrows, but you can press in the blank areas where they should be. Not easy but better than nothing
